While I agree it was a good tourney and I enjoyed sweating it, it seems everyone is just sweeping all the lies an falsehoods under the rug.
They promised a lot more money than they actually paid out. The team event going from guaranteed $50,000 first place to $9000 is quite comical. I cant believe nobody is raising a little hell about this. I'm sure all of the same people will chime in with the "at least they are doing something for pool schtick" and I agree they are doing something, but why do people promise stuff if they can't deliver?
The answer to that question is that in the pool world, they can. Pool players are so happy to get any payouts that they won't stand up for themselves when a promise or misleading payout structure isn't adhered to. It's just like all the "added" money tourneys that pop up that really aren't adding what they advertise. I guess if people let you get away with that kind of thing then keep doing it.
If my employer told me that I got a $50,000 bonus at the end of the month if I met a certain quota and then changed it to $9000 because they realized they were losing too much money, I would sue somebody and tell them to stick it up their ass. But that's just me, carry on.
