How Much Cash Do You Carry?

Good news is I don't have to do it often and when I do it is usually only 2-3 deposits which I make in varying amounts. Luckily I make alot of deposits throughout the weeks so it doesn't look too suspicious. If they catch me I deserve it just like every time I get a speeding ticket :p

That is called layering and just as suspicious. Believe me, you will never be smarter than the IRS.

(insert sarcasm) Oh come on now it's the government that can't be that smart. (end sarcasm)

All kidding aside with all the system cheating going on out there i'm confident the frequency this occurs in combination with the amount of deposits and accounts my company has I would be very surprised if they singled me out. I am fully cognisent that they are in their full right to pursue me and I would be held liable for my actions. However, they have left me alone since my last audit. They audited me and found out they owed me money which was a rare treat. For some reason they haven't sent me a check yet and it's been a couple of years.

The key is to maintain patterns. Changed patterns are red flags just like with tax returns. I was depositing 10-12 thousand twice a week for awhile with one business. Unfortunately it was a high gross low net business so that isn't nearly as nice as it sounds! I know of a man that went from making ten or twelve thousand a year in his business to making more like a quarter of a million a year in his business in the seventies. He never changed his deposit patterns and he never changed his tax returns. Never got audited either. I don't know if he was lucky or good but it worked for him. My income does tend to fluctuate wildly and that makes me fear audits. Nobody likes hearing the tax man is coming even when they are paying their taxes.

Dave...He was also popular with a couple of thugs, who tapped him on the head, and STOLE his briefcase, containing $150K IN CASH! :eek: He quit carrying that kind of money around, after that incident. Most people who have won big in lotteries, are either very unhappy, or have become recluses, because of everyone trying to "get some" piece of them.

I carry plastic only. I have heard that illegal immigrant workers carry 5 grand on them at any given time. Apparently the word got out, I heard allot of construction workers rebuilding New Orleans after Katrina were mugged for their bank roll.

I know a guy who was married 3 times and eventually got back together with his second wife. When I asked him why he went back, as serious as he could be said "I missed my stuff."

thats trun, I flew with 600,000 about 10 years ago.

last year leaving the US open I got shook down by TSA and I had $9500, the guy said if i had more than 10 I was in trouble I asked him to explain-he couldnt. you can fly with what you can carry

How much cash do I carry? less that $100, I have too I'm a target.


If I make a bet and lose I go to the box at the hotel and get what I owe, if I win I put it in the box. When I go to the Derby I have a plain cloths security guard(some of the time) he cant stay awake long enough, lol.


If i'm at the pool room around the corner from my house, i leave the $$$ at home, everyone I gamble with trusts me and I trust them. we settle later.


Now If I go to uncharted waters(been a very long time) I take a gun and maybe $500-$1000.


I have never been robbed(except at pool) which is lucky i suppose. I had one close call Mark Haddad got me out of.

thanks for the laugh this morning, i'm in a down mood. real down. I cant get a biz off the ground and the bills dont stop. I'm 0-2 this year. i suppose 3rd time will be the charm. i'm going to join the Navy like my dad did.

Yep...do you? I'll be happy to debate anything that I post if you have an argument against it. If there is error in any of my logic or comments please point it out and offer an alternative. I do and will admit when I am wrong if proven so.
