I have already spoken to the seller and am the curent high bidder on that table.

Currently looking into a mechanic to assist with the reloaction.

It is a re-list because the last bidder dissappeared afte the auction ended...

It would be cool if I didn't end up in a bidding war with any other members here! (My eBay name is J!m_J!m)

Me too

I really like the way that table looks if its a deal or not.

I have no clue if the pricing is reasonable. But I agree-thats a fine looking table. Looks solid and classy. Looks like a perfect mix of rugged and elegant at the same time. Not fu-fu like some home 'furniture' tables. The right wife/girl friend might appreciate also(as if this were a criteria).

Just thot I'd pass it along.

Oh, the wife/girlfriend factor is HUGE!

She actually suggested to me to get a table for the new basement, but I fortunately share her taste in the older style stuff from a by-gone era.

I was looking for a nice antique to restore, but this has the 'vintage' look without the problems associated with antique tables I have a snowball's chance in hell of affording....

TATE has one of those tables set up in his house that he bought from Jay H. Both of those guys raved about the play of the table and the look is perfect, old school look but new enough not to be all dingy.

Go get it, I hope you win.

Pesonally IMO that is a hell of a deal on that table. The Gibson is a great table with classic lines, very reminessant of the Anniversary and Centennial. I also believe what he says he spent. I priced one several years ago and it was 7-9k for a new setup even back then.

Definitely a steal; however currently at the upper end of my budget! I was looking around on here, but the inexpensive, quality tables are too far away to make it practical.

Closing on the house this week (God willing) so money is quite tight!

I was just looking to get an idea, and came across this one... Fingers crossed!!!:o

It went for $2550 which is a pretty great deal for a Gibson. The seller must be happy, the previous auction where the high bidder didn't pay him ended at $1800.

I think the seller will be happy if he actually gets paid, and the table out of there in a reasonable time frame!

Time will tell...
