Sterling wave case, zipper problem's

Just as the title say's but it's not a big problem but how ever it pisses me off !:mad: I got this case less then a week ago to use in my league nights so my good cases don't get damaged or smelling like smoke and after only useing it 2 to 3 times the zipper pullers that say Sterling on them or gone . Well two of them are one of the two for the lid zipper and one of the two for my top pouch that I use to put my chalk and stuff in. It's just fuuny that already the two zippers that I use on the case the pullers are off and LOST. Im just letting everyone know if you buy one of these check the zipper clasp and make sure the clasp is completley shut if not take a pair of small needle nose pliers and bend them shut so you don't lose yours. I should have checked it out before I used it. After looking there are two pullers on every opening on the case (3) and all of them are sprung open or are not closed up like they should be << ED
 
Go to a Tandy store. They should have the material to get it fixed or contact the store you bought the case from.
 
YEA,I did call the place where I got it and they said it had them when they sent it to me and when I recieved it so there is nothing they can do but contact the manufacture. I think it's crap, I know it is what it is, a cheap case but It should still not have pieces fall off of it, a couple days of getting it >> I guess i will just have to rig it . Even know i only need one zipper to open each pouch and lid. But it doesn't seem right <<ED

Contact John Barton, here on the forum or J B Cases he may be able to help you get this problem corrected.

Had the same problem with my Wave case. Cuesight offered to take it back, but I handled it myself. I recommend not to squeeze the opening on the zipper slide closed, as it's brittle, and may crack before it bends (don't ask me how I know). Just insert a dab of epoxy in the open loop with a toothpick. All my zippers have been fine with that repair for 8 months now. Unfortunately, the makers picked the wrong part to cut a cent or two in cost. Otherwise, I just love my Wave. I hope someday to have John make me a leather case with the Wave interior. I would consider that to be the absolute nuts in a case.

I will contact John but I think that cocobolocowboy sugestion is the best one for an immediate solution.
 
i had the same problem with mine.

its my favorite case i have had so far but when i got i pulled the zipper to zip the lid and the piece broke off the ziper.

the other one has worked since then though.

john said they were working on a new zipper and would replace it but i haven't found a way to get a hold of him.

Thanks cowboy, I will call monday but I dont think it's worth sending it out and waiting a long time to get it back, when I can just rig something on myself. It would be a different if they could send me something that I could fix myself , But we will see tomorrow after I call thank you again ,<ED

Thanks Troy, I would like to have the original pullers on mine but im not really worried about it enough to spend anymore $ on it. If sterling would send me the two that came off I would appreciate it. And I appreciate your offer , and I understand it cost to mail the stuff out. But I can just hook something on for a puller or I really dont need it as I only use one zipper on each part and all of the access points have two each. A paper clip works fine.
 
Sterling - A-OK !!!! J&J had many troubles with locks on 3X4s

Luke & Matt @ Sterling are AOK!!!

J&J all ways wants me to sell the defective case at a discount and give another. This is the only problem with J&J products.
