Mary....

Well I may not know how much game Mary has BUT her marketing skills are awesome!! She has in a very short time got a whole lot of attention for herself. Two weeks ago I had never even heard of her!!!
Gotta give her some credit for that alone. I still wish she would have at least commented on the proposed matchup though, but maybe that is all part of the game..

Honest mistake the black ball and purple ball look very similar in bad lighting...I'll edit your post and help you out buddy.

After her first post on the hot chick thread I went and checked out her website and her vidoes and something did not seem right about her from the get go. She seemed WAY to self absorbed, from the first second I saw the page.

I mean who has their own website? and there wasnt a single other person or even a story or pic about anyone but her. She was even alone in all the pics no group shots or anything. So from the get go she seemed a little to into herself. Its good to know that shes like that in real life and it wasnt just in my head. I have never met here and didnt want to prejudge her. But i totally believe all the things youve posted. Im glad someone called her on her BS.

I felt the same way when I saw the page. I just didnt want to call her on it without getting more facts. But her posts here speak for themselves. and if she wanted attention I think shes got all she wants and then some now.

She plays for money all the time and has backers. But where is she now? Mary mary quite contrary indeed.

Attention yes, but negative attention IMO. When someone posts a response and adds a photos of themselves to EVERY one of their responses (I forget the thread), it gets annoying and makes one think, "WTH?"

Most of us women would fully agree to who is attractive, we are not all jealous beatches, but Mary's self promotion is very annoying. I think she is just young and has used social networks A LOT and thinks this is all okay (possibly normal?).

I think it's okay to be confident and love pics of yourself (many women are like this) but to do it on a public forum in the way she has is disturbing.

Kudos to OMGWTF, btw.

From Humble Mary: "No don't get to play to much snooker anymore, there is not many that can play and there I slack of tables in southern California. Were I was living before I used to play every other day it was great small money maker for me. I played most games on a 10 by 5 with only 6 reds so the scores were never as high as they should of been. My break was only like 80 some points then again only on other player there could mach me. I have the snooker set here on my table but is not really fun to play normal people since I just crush them."



How someone could be so full of themselves and so cocky when I doubt they've even played or placed in a qualifier before. Maybe Mary doesn't realize it, but there are a LOT of tough girls that would rock her world on the pool table in Southern Cal including OMGWTF.

Well, if she's made a "80 plus some" in snooker I would like some hcp if I ever play her. Especially if her 80 plus some was made on a 10x5 with only 6 reds.

It's entertaining for the rest of us that she plays up the "I'll say I don't think I'm pretty so all the guys will protest and tell me I am" routine and signs off on almost every post with a picture of herself, but it's in a thread aimed at posting pictures of females, so whatever. Her site says she's been playing since she's 21... that's mature enough to know better and these younger folks are RAISED on technology and the internet.

This is a pool forum, though, so Mary, if you're going to last here, have something else to contribute and/or use it as a learning tool, and I'd also suggest being nicer to the women you shoot with/against because most of us have been playing pool for half your age and longer and we aren't going anywhere, whereas we've seen girls like you come and go. Just some friendly advise, young lady.

It was mentioned earlier that she and I had played in a tournament. In that tournament of less than 8 girls, we both had the same finish -- we went 1-and-2.

So, I figure we play about the same.

Mary insisted she didn't know *JUST* how famous she was and informed her that she sold posters of herself.

- In her first match, Mary told her opponent, "Oh, you have to play me? How sad for you! How sad!"

- In another match, Mary made it a point to tell her opponent that she did martial arts and that no one ever sparred with her anymore because "she hurt them all too badly".

- Mary made a comment in the "hottest girl in pool" thread that she played a girl in Santa Monica who was hot but it was too bad she couldn't make three balls. That girl just won our last ladies' 8-ball tournament. Also, Mary neglected to mention that she, herself, couldn't run three balls either.

In both tournaments, Mary took great care to tell us that she was well-known, famous, had fans, sold posters, was the best player in her pool hall, and that she had scores of people ready to back her in money games and in tournaments.

To men, Mary speaks with great friendliness and even modesty about her game. To women, she is the exact opposite. This tells me she has underlying insecurity issues regarding other women players.

The other players she bullied in the tournament were not comfortable enough with their games or the idea of gambling to call her out to play. I, however, don't have that kind of sensible thinking and so, I am calling her out to play.

I don't care about her self-promotion. If anything, it benefits me. Every hour she spends taking pictures of herself or expounding her keyboard wisdom is another hour away from table.

But I DO care when you pick on my friends who are just other women who love to play pool.

I have some bad news for Mary. I've never heard of her before this thread. And I'll probably never hear of her again. The funny thing about pool is, at some point you must be able to make the balls in the hole. All the talking and posing in the world won't do that.
So far (unless she takes this challenge) Mary is just another pool imposter in my book.

No, this was back when Chelsea Billiards was around. We had 8 snooker tables there. Now, I think there's one snooker table in Manhattan and last I checked, it wasn't in the greatest condition. When we begin to creep up on January, we'll discuss which poolrooms to go to. I know a few in Queens that are worth the subway fare.
