Shane vs. Donnie question

Ya know the one negative thing about soft breaking is that it can kinda get you in bunt stroke mode. It's happened before and it will probably happen again. It either works great or it gets goofy.

So some of you think I can't run out if the table is tough or I can't soft break... lol!!!

Was the us open rack for each other and you can't soft break? Did I place 3rd? Did I lose 11-10 back to back on the tv table-which was the first time I played on it to get in to the finals of the us open?

Donny - you have nothing to prove...3rd at the Open speaks for itself.

You are a world class 9 ball player for sure. Fun to watch.

i aint a champion, but one thing i do know is you can get into a funk and the pockets disappear, that happens in banks more than other games.

I know if I was soft breaking all night then had to get up and stun a ball with a full stroke, that stroke might not be there. any player in the world can fall into a funk and game over. some guys can pull out of it faster than others. some never can. I learned alot watching that match. take it for what its worth and look for the lessions not the knock.

strong people learn, weak people knock.

When Shane started to break hard, was he breaking from the box or the side rail? I plan on ordering the DVD but I was curious, thanks! :)

In what order was Donny racking? I know the info from Joe's DVD, just curious as to what Donny uses.

My Donny Mills experience:

I saw you play on some of the Propoolvideos before the site went down. I was impressed.

I read your posts on here prior to the US Open. I was not impressed.

I watched you play the US Open. I was impressed.

I read your posts after the US Open. I was not impressed.

I followed your play vs. SVB. I was impressed.

I read your posts in this thread. I was not impressed.

The more you talk about how good you are, the more you get into it with other posters, the more stipulations you make about matches you want to play, the less I want to see of you.

They allowed pattern racking, it was part of the game as it was set up. Donny made the 5 ball int he corner off the break 82 out 83 times, I still can't believe that and I saw it.

AND.... the only time he missed it was Corey's fault! :groucho:

Truly, but remember, whatever beast is inside a man which drives him to seek such insane levels of perfection, is the self-same beast that causes others to recoil in fear and loathing once revealed.

Chris

Ps. I actually wrote that just now.

Lol! Did you see why I wrote this? All different people on this site are saying that I can't play unless it is rack ur own soft break and it makes me cringe!

I don't care what you want to see.

Great shooting by both Shane and Donny! Kudos to Donny for stepping up and playing a guy even that very few will play even! I thought you were going to take it down until the end there. I'm sure you learned a lot about yourself in that match, and will be even tougher next time.

The break- what can I say, except... awesome! NOBODY has the break down better than you do Donny. Not even Shane, who probably has the 2nd best break going. I'm sure Shane is going to be spending a LOT of time perfecting your break for himself! You ought to start giving lessons to the rest of the pros (American only please) on how to break like that!

Who you got lines up next???

I wanna play shane again the same way. Or I'd like to make a 10ball game with someone.

Clearly reading comprehention is not your strength....

My post was conveying the following message:

-I know you can play excellent pool. The propoolvideos were not 9 ball RYO, and I was impressed, the US Open was not RYO, and I was impressed. Obviously you can play with or without rack your own.

-I know that your posts on AZ Forums have completely ruined any chance of me liking or supporting your pool playing career.

In conclusion, your pool playing was enjoyable to me, but my desire to see you win was ruined by your forum posts.

Feel free to ask questions for further clarification.

Ronnie Alcano won the 9 Ball World Championship against Ralf Souquet with the same break.

The break only works in certain conditions. It's like a trick shot.
