The selection process may be flawed, but it's a huge leap forward from prior years when Matchroom picked all 5! I'm not sure what criteria they went by before this year, but they held the plato and squeezed it as they pleased.
I don't trust computer voting... But if Rodney wins I think it reflects what most of Americans were thinking before the start. There's a calcutta of sorts going in the Action room and Rodney was top bid from jump street.
Why Europe doesn't have a computer vote for #5 just seems inconsistent to me.
I like our team on and off the table. I'm quite optimistic there will be a total new mood, with my only concern right now that Corey does not lose focus, hunger or spirit. We need his best to beat the favored 'Peans.

This is what i find interesting... would any of you on here back Oscar Dominguez to play either Rodney or Dennis?? I like Oscar, but I dont think he has played well enough for long enough to be on the team... especially when looking at the stacked european team
With respect to Oscar, I think he is a very good player. I don't think he could win a match for the cheese vs Dennis or Rodney though, not without weight. I do however think he deserves to be on the team since he did meet the criteria set forth by the BCA. If Dennis or Rodney had played in all the same events Oscar did I don't think we would be having this discussion.

Rodney has done an outstanding job representing our country in past events.
Dennis Hatch is the player that insiders are picking in a landside vote.

I know I can't contend with that! It's BS!!!!! Thank you to everyone for all the support!!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll still win the vote somehow I never give up!
But to be honest with you Dennis, I think that you not playing in the open may have hurt your chances
I really don't think it would have mattered! Bottom line is I can't contend with the mass emails! It is nice to see on this vote that people believe in me and think I'm the best on here! To bad there not using this system I would be winning by a landslide. I still have hope!! No matter what GOOD LUCK to team USA and whoever is picked!

I see Rodney leading, I do feel he is a better player then Charlie Williams but not a better player then Dennis, just curious as to what others think and also why would we not want the best player of the 3 on team USA. Rodney is first in the polls with Charlie 2nd and Dennis in 3rd, the other players are a little behind in the polls. We do want to win don't we or do we want to lose 3 years in a row?
Only one of the three has won the US Open. As well Mr. Morris has more titles and has more Mosconi cup experience.
Since this is a vote then my vote goes to the person on the ballot who has the most experience and titles.
Anyone else should earn their spot just as Mr. Dominguez did.
For what it is worth you did better then I would have imagined. Charlie used Dragon Promotions and its entire mailing list to spam thousands of people's email addresses telling them to vote for him. Rodney has the advantage of having been on many past Mosconi Cup teams and thus has alot more of the general public recognition.
You came into this battle spotting both Rodney and Charlie alot of weight.
Can you tell me why you did NOT play? If it is personal issues I understand but I almost thought of going and you have WAY more speed then me and a legit chance of winning the bloody thing, I would have been playing to make the money and maybe knock off a known player or two.
With your talent I cannot fathom not taking your shot at winning such a prestigous title and getting all those free entries into future US Opens for the rest of your life.
