Best Chalk Holder

Thank you so much, I am very happy to hear that--it is always nice to be appreciated.

JoeyA,
Here are some more pictures of the chalk pouch just to show that these are not designed only for girls. LOL.
You can put your precious chalk in the pouch and no one can/will grab your chalk away from you.
It goes well with both dressed formal wear and casual jeans and such.

Aurora, I just ordered one as well. Paypal has been sent.

I think chalk holders are gay. I have a special fur-lined pouch built into my custom gold lamme cape!

I have always liked the kind with the little plastic handle that just slips into your pocket with the chalk thing hanging out. Problem is: If you where Khakis a lot, you will get some blue on your pocket below where the chalk cube hangs. I usually wear jeans, so not so much a problem for me.

Got tired of the plastic handles. I began making them out of the same exotic woods that cues are made. Pretty little things they are.

If I ever tried to use a chalk holder I'd loose two speeds instantly and God knows I can't afford that.

I need to pick it up off the rail, chalk, put it down, pick it up, chalk, put it down, pick it up (not chalk) put it back down..... shoot take that away from me and I'm totally out of rhythm.

"My gosh, if they're made only of exotic wood, how in the world do you get it to stick to the side of your denim pocket like shown in the first pic? What kind of 'exotic' wood is that -- Velcrobolo?" :D

Just kidding. Those are very nice indeed. Any thoughts to adding a Tip-Pic to that, much like CueTec did?

I am trying to do a little research on a chalk holder. I have read so much about the Blue Diamond Chalk, I am kind of interested in trying it out and if I am going to do so, I would like to find the best chalk holder out there.

I like the chalk holder case that was mentioned in one thread that Sang Lee had but I'm not sure if I will use it for anything more than a storagecase. I like the idea of putting some silicate in the case to keep the chalk dryer. It's humid where I live and play so that might help some.

I don't miscue often but I would love to reduce the number of miscues by any number or percentage.

I'm looking for a chalk holder that is DURABLE, very durable and one that will hold the chalk without the chalk coming off from my belt or falling out of my pocket.

BigTruck was talking to me about some super magnet chalk holder that someone had given him and I never got the chance to see it when he was down here visiting.

I am open to all of your recommendations. If you are a serious chalk holder kind of person, I would love to hear your thoughts and preferences.

Thanks,
JoeyA

Hi,
I use a leather chalk pouch that I make.

It is made of real leather, double layered.

Will not come off your belt and/or make a big mess as the chalk get low.

Very easy to carry around, and is very durable.

Does not get in the way of the chalk with the stick or what not.

It does not consist of two parts so you don't need to worry about one part getting lost.

It can be attached to the front, back and side, with or without a belt.

Hope you like it. :)

Thank you.

I don't really have an opinion on that chalk holder. But as for everything else in those pics, fantastic.:wave3:

I also offer leather tooling of names or initials, but I do not have any pictures to show now. I will try to get some pictures up in a few days in my for sale thread. They are hand tooled and will not come off or fray.

Ahhh now that's more like it. Black, good color. Model- male. Now just one more thing. Do you have one that has a loop to slip your belt through? Like I mentioned earlier, I am kind of rambunctious and anything that isn't tied down to me, normally separates. I don't want to get used to something and then it fall off my waist one day when I am running to a match because I'm late or some other stupid excuse.

Oh yeah, can you put in a little magnetic leather flap cover to keep the chalk from flying out when I am jogging?

Be very careful...If Pocket Chalker sees this chalk holder...Don't be surprised if he copies and starts mass producing it. He pulled this C***p on my product, FingerSlides. He calls them Finger Wraps. He should've called them, "Can't Get My Own Idea Finger Wraps"!!

never owned a chalk holder.....i clicked this thread thinking it would be a joke, but to my suprise and dissapointment its a serious thread:grin:

my favorite is when playing a guy who makes the chalk holder part that slides in back pocket baton thingy, (know what im talking about)???? Twirly bird while chalking there stick like they are David Copperfield or some shit.

personally ive always been annoyed buy people with chalk holders and Shooting gloves for some reason.

your fingers then the table. have you seen the damage chalk holders do to ferrules.

can u say hourglass?

Hey Dave:

That sounds like a great idea for a quick weight loss product -- a giant upside-down cup with padding on the top inside, and a chalky abrasive on the inside perimeter. You get under it, stand up inside of it, and it revolves and wobbles around you, "chalking" the top of your head and abrading your middle section. Voila! Instant hourglass shape! :D

j/k,
-Sean

I have tried that magnetic and I lost it. I have found that the best and cheapest is that cheap plastic holder with your name on it. Jjust put the chalk in your pocket and when it is your turn to place/slam it on the rail. I was taught that placing/slamming the chalk down on the rail is a trigger telling your brain that I am ready to go.
