Here are some pics of a Fellini i just bought. Could anybody help in telling me what type of leather or skin it might be? I know it might be hard to tell from pics but maybe somebody could tell me how to id it.
Thanks Jim
Just added pic of the back and i must say the seams are very tight and straight on this case.

Looks like standard cow leather that has been embossed to look like something else.

Many of you are not going to believe this, but Fellini as quite the "bugologist". The material of this case is made of the belly skin of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar_hissing_cockroach. The advantage besides their armor like skin is that you can skin the roach without killing him and he will grow his skin back within 2 weeks. The downside is that they can pee one gallon up to 150 ft when they are grabbed.

You have quite a case there friend.

Added picture of back of case

And i think the case is the turtle print from what you guys have posted. Thanks for all the help and from the catalog prints some one posted it is an earlier case without zig zag stitched logo. Maybe that accounts for the better quality of construction when i compared it to another Fellini i had with the zig zag stitched logo.
