I am thinking about buying a OB cue and was wondering how they hit.
I had an OB-1 shaft on another cue and liked it but these are cored
the full length of the butt and I was wondering if they hit different
from the Joss I had that was not made this way.

Are these cues not popular. I would really like some input either way.
thanks jack

the catch is that they are very new

The catch is that OB hasn't had time to build a reputation with these cues yet. My bet is that they aren't letting anything out on the street with their name on it that isn't quality but I haven't even seen one that I know of.

Hu,

Thanks! you are right about that. We only want quality, Made in America, products with our name on them.

Joss does build the playing cues for us, and Hu is right that we are building a name for ourselves in the cues market.

At first, our designs were a bit limited, but we are started to branch out a little. We now have a Curly maple cue that is wrapless with a Cocobolo handle, and soon will have some non-steel jointed cues.

They do hit very well! Some that don't like steel joints have been surprised when they did hit with them. All of the cues are cored the full length which gives just the right amount of stiffness to complement our cue shafts.

Thanks!

You start making more non steel jointed cues and i'll end up buying one at one point.

Well Poolplayer, you are in luck!

The first, as I said is a curly maple front and back with a coco handle.

We will build more if these do well!

Royce, are there pics of the model with the coco handle somewhere?

While I'm asking I was curious. How does the butt section of the of the players compare to the break cue as far as width is concerned? I pulled my OB-2 shaft off my Pechauer and played with it on my OB break cue butt. It played very well, but I noticed the butt to a thicker than my Pechauer where I normally grip my cue during normal play. I was wondering if this is a product of the compound taper mentioned in the product info?
