now maybe we will be lucky enough to have you go bother the guitar forums.
i feel for those guys because instead of talking about music you will be telling them how you can beat them all in pool.
then you will get in a argument with a world class musician and you will try to win the argument by telling them yeah but you havent mastered music like the poolplayers have mastered their craft.
give it up russ you cant make me feel bad about myself no matter what you say.
ive got a great life and im lucky to have it like i got it.
russ ive seen you play and trust me youve got enough problems of your own to have the time to try to belittle me.

Anyone that came through the door got played, even. John can't say that neither can many of the other of today's players.

John insists that a magic gift trumps everything else. I've given him three chances to prove it. He ain't interested. My point has been made, three times.

I have never ducked anyone and they were getting steered onto me from Greenway when anybody that was anybody in pool came through Greenway sooner or later. I never did any scouting or looking in a book when I traveled either. I gambled, and I've won a hell of a lot more than I lost.

OK John,

Here is the easiest three hundred dollars you will ever make. Name three locals that know me from 1984 or before. Have them state where I played naming names besides the same ones I have used over and over here and what the cue I used looked like. Methinks John or his "locals" are talking through their hats. I will give you a hundred dollars for the first three "locals" that know a thing about me when I talk to them face to face and claim that they beat me regularly any time from 1974 to 1984. Of course they will have to name where they played me at.

No bet, just a no risk deal for you. How about that? One local $100, two locals $200, three locals $300. I can't make handing you money any easier.

Somebody is full of baloney. Me, you, or your sources. Lets find out who.

I can't tell how a friends cue is looking like, and I am having trouble figuring out what my first cue looked like 10 years ago. How can you expect people remembering what a cue looked like almost 30 years ago? :D

they said you played good but that i would have beaten you but i knew that already.
you know funny thing is you watch dvds of me not the other way around.

With all due respect, I can't understand why you are belittling AZ'ers.

The biggest win in your career was the US Open, and I congratulate you for it.

But I remember how it all started. You needed a sponsor, so you asked the AZ community for help. And you got it, an AZ'er sponsored you so you could go in the first place.

Several of us (including Russ and Hu, if I'm not mistaken) have sponsored other players (I remember Max and Sarah, for example) to go play in tournaments where they needed some help. They had no trouble finding help here.

I don't know if you will need help again in the future? But you are certainly not helping your chances of finding any here.

Even dogs are smart enough not to shit in their own bed.
 
After reading the posts and skipping most of them i am just gonna give up on the dream and take up beer pong....=)

they are insulting me i use my name .
when i get stopped by police i dont say im shooting arts i say my name.
as far as im concerned if somebodies not using their real name them im not belittling anybody.

Don't worry Mr Schmidt i have won many tourneys but never went after the big ones... I also like to play different games so i cant concentrate on 1 sport for too long...
Maybe we could tee it up sometime somewhere....:grin:

it wasnt like i was broke and couldnt play in tourney at the time and azbilliards saved the day.
i had plenty of money in the bank i just simply think that the money to go to that tourney is too high for what you can win.
i just call out the b.s. talking idiots on here and alot of people are going to hate me and call me insecure.
insecure people need everyone to like them ,i dont need everyone to like me .especially some of the people on here who do nothing but insult me all the while hiding behind a pc using a fake name.
again i respect what your saying but believe me i didnt start this im just a target because im a good player and use my real name.

John, I use a fake name. Does that make me a bad person, I don't think so. I think it's
safer to do that.I don't want to be involved in a phisical confrontation with anybody
only because our opinions are different.

no im not saying it makes you a bad person.im saying that its nearly impossible to put any value into what your saying good or bad.because nobody knows who the hell is saying it.

Yes and no. The last thing I need is someone getting to my face over something I said
hear. I'm almost forty and those wild days are over for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not
a chicken or anything like that but this is not a good reason for me to take a chance
You have to understand, there is a lot of crazy ash holes out there.

There is a kid here who needed money to go to a tournament and AZ members helped him out. That type of story is heart warming.
Having a pro say I wanted your money but didn’t really need it, is a little less inspiring. :)
