Went to Millertime Billiards in Davenport yesterday to meet "Ia8baller"(Trevor) to pick up his Carolina Custom..Everybit as sweet as he described! Hit a few balls on a 9-footer to get a feel for the new to me cue...strange playin' on lite creme? colored cloth! Also met member "Iowaplayer" who was on the next table. Didnt have alot of time to spend/play, but definately a couple strait-up good guyz!
On the way back to Peoria, we stopped in at Billiards on Main in Galesburg, aint been there in years, and she never had, so got a bite to eat,and hit a few on thier 9's which look really low to the ground but Joe said they are standard. Nice, clean poolhall..and the owner(Mark) also lives in Peoria, where I live. Saw a nice Mcdermott in the displaycase,my girlfriend liked it, so went and got it for her..Happy Girl!
Stopped in at Dave's poolhall when we got home and hit a few to wear off the "newness" and showed the regulars. Jr. really liked it, dont think anyone has seen one of these around here. Nice to have something different...
Good luck Trevor with your community center/instructional project, cool to teach our youth pool skillz to give folks something to do! Peace, AJ:thumbup:

I was there too, but I was immersed in a murderous, 3-man ring game so we didn't meet.

If you're ever in town again, stop by on Saturday & show us what that CC cue can do. :wink:
 
lol. How'd you miss Leisuretime over in Moline? I figure if I'm up that way, I'll hit Moline first (since Millertime doesn't open until 2 pm), then Davenport, and of course I have to hit BoM on the way home!!! Mark sold me the Jacoby in my sig. GREAT guy, and a wish his place were a little closer to home. I'll be down at Dave's later today or tomorrow....hope I get to see your new cue!
 
I saw you all playing...recognized Bowman, seen him a few times at our hall in Peoria. I was talking to the owner? Jerry? before I left, and he mentioned your ring game on saturdays thats been goin on for like a couple months or so, i think he said? wish I could of stayed @ played/met folks there, but she and I,Had to get back..

I'm fixin' to go to the hall now..Very sore,stiff so I guess movin round the tabe would be better than sittin on me butt! I didnt know where Leisure-time was? Heard of it though..Would of stopped by if it crossed my mind, just wanted to get back home. Alex said she's played a couple games with u before a while back at Daves, And said I would know ya If I saw ya! I'm just terrible with names..
