While I agree with your notion that we should be grateful for and celebrate everthing good in our sport, the truth is that this forum consists of people who are as passionate about pool to the nth degree.
To suggest that we become satisfied is, in my view, inappropriate. This forum consists of many movers and shakers in our sport who are doing their part to help our sport evolve into a better future. Some of those who aren't doing something to help our sport will do so at some point in the future.
Asking the members of this forum to sit back and just be thankful for what they have without continually passing judgment on what does and doesn't serve the present and future of our sport is the same as asking a parent to stop dwelling on the future of their child. We here at AZB love pool the way a parent loves a child, and will, consequently, oversee, assess, and guide it with a similar amount of passion.
I'll go the opposite route of this thread. I personally encourage and ask my fellow forum members to continue dwelling on what's good about, bad about, good for, and bad for pool, because as long as we keep the dialogue going, we will remain informed and will be better positioned to help pave the way for better times in our sport.
