Crying about rolls is BS, the US is not ahead because of the rolls just like the reason the Euros won the last two years was not because of rolls. It is not a roll when someone misses and fouls trying to use two bridges when not necessary or when they over hit their shape and get on top of their object ball twice. These were three huge mistakes by Mika that could have easily turned three matches the other way which would make the score 8-6 Euros leading.

The truth is that in the past two years the European team played better and beat th US and up to this point this year the US is playing better and leading but it is not over until someone gets to 11.

completely agree with this, the reason that the usa are ahead is because they are doing two things right which team europe aren't:

1. They are showing more unity than team europe have over the last four days and that is all thanks to the calming influence that is Dennis Hatch.

2. The second reason they are so far ahead is because they are absolutely killing the break and their safety play has been outstanding, just look at the four rail kick Duel made on day 3.

I've Registered at Omnisport if I need to pay for the stream but I'm torn because I will be watching my UNDEFEATED NEW ORLEANS SAINTS play football today against their arch-enemy, the Atlanta Falcons.

Need your computer next to your TV or multiple windows on your computer. Did you see the NY Times article (on the net) today about Internet based TV. Seems we don't need a cable any more. My wife nearly had a heart attack when I said that

As of this morning I am thinking about how to hook a laptop to the plasma TV in the living room as a permanent fixture. Ain't modern technology grand.

Mosconi Cup is all singles today so it should be great. I expect some great match ups with some of the best available players.

I like the Scotch doubles format, seems to put even more pressure on the players. I also like to hear them talking to each other because it gives a better feel about what the players are thinking.

I like the 30 second shot clock. It is implemented well and I like the somewhat forced errors. It makes for a faster pace and more excitement. Its is not "speed pool" but it does make it interesting because there is no guaranteed run out for anyone when you have to think fast and act. That five second warning bell creates a lot of pressure and I often wonder if it will cause the player to make an error. Those nerves of steel are fun to watch.

Perhaps this pressure cooker system would be good for other tournaments to make them more exciting and fun to watch.

I think one of the things that has been most impressive is to watch that slow scorpion and how quickly he can strike when the pressure is on. The man is a phenomenon.

I am not crying, just pointing out everything went to USA favor, even the Europeans play (see Mika who gave for free 3 matches ). When I say a good roll I am speaking about Hatch 2 rail kick that made the 7 ball, a lot of USA misses that ended up safe, and many more. I said from day 1 that Americans had great team spirit and we didn't. Maybe " Dream Team" thought that is going to be much easier, I don't know.
My final comment is that USA deserves to win because you won 2 big players in this event ( Hatch and Oscar) and you let go the old Earl. It's a new generation rising, supervised by Johnny

Since it's as good as a done deal I went out last night and celebrated our US Mosconi Cup 2009 victory early. I had the local newspaper do a pictorial chronicle of my night.

Before I departed, to get even more fired up, I read more of Roy's posts.

I was feeling REALLY good after that.

So I went out and about looking for trouble.

But after @ 25 shots I wasn't seeing too well.

And that was the last thing I remember. When I awoke today, I got the local paper from the driveway, and found I was on the front page!

Tonight, I think I'll do it all over again.

COME ON SHANE!!!

This is like a walk in the park, just relax and have fun and this will be a piece of cake! 30 minutes till kick off

I would like nothing more than to knock the cable companies and their rates down a notch. Let me know when you figure it out.
