Justice for Mike Surber

There is more information available from the video

Hi Guys,

I'd be more than happy to answer your questions about the video, however since this is an ongoing Police investigation, I really can't comment unless I clear it with Ocean Springs PD first, especially since this is a very public forum.

What I suggest is to give me a list of your questions and let me submit them to the investigator with OSPD first. If he approves, I will answer them. But let me tell you up front, most Police Investigators don't really like involving the public in these investigations for obvious reasons. For some reason, most of our local law enforcement members really either don't understand or have any idea on how they can use the power of the Internet to help them and almost always prefer traditional Police methods to solve crimes like these.

I think the best bet is to show the PD Investigators what Net resources we could use to get the word out. There are so many possible points of information out there on the Net that could be checked out that might just turn up the needle in the haystack that finds this guy.

Let me point out a real important point as was stated in an ealier post that this guy is still "a person of interest" and there are legal ramifications involved in referring to him as anything else at this point. Real care needs to be taken here to keep referring to him in that manner.

What I see here are a lot of Mike's friends who want to help. What's needed here is to get everyone together in one place at one time(Skeeter's maybe?) to talk an get an organized game plan going in one direction. There are a lot of good ideas here but it will take organization to make them happen. I can tell you for a fact that if you do get organized along the lines mentioned, the news media will be interested for just the fact that Mikes friends are willing to do what ever it takes to help solve the case. Just the idea of doing this is very unusual as most people sit back and let the Police do it. The very idea that Mike's friends are willing to do this sends a very powerful message on how deep your bonds and friendship were.

One final note, if you guys want to call me on the phone that's OK. I would prefer that anyway as a precaution. It would be about right that the guy we are after reads this board. If you want to call, you can call email me at Laser1218 at aol.com (not really comfortable posting my cell or home phone).

Jam can you make a "click to enlarge" button for the pictures of the perp? I would like to get a good look at him.

To keep this thread going till they get this person of interest !

Thanks, Troy!

Check out this website for Kristi Cornwell: http://www.KristiCornwell.com

She is the Georgia lady who is missing. She was picked up off a country road while taking a jog. She was talking to her boyfriend on a cell phone at the time. The cell phone was found a mile or so away from where she was abducted.

I think this is a good website, and I am taking a few tips from this website in an effort to develop Mike Surber's website a little better.

BTW, does this sketch of the alleged person who abducted Kristi Cornwell look familiar to you? Would a sketch be better on Mike Surber's website than a grainy video picture?

This POI looks familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on who. :frown:

At any rate, I am wondering if we should put a description of the vehicle driven by the person of interest in Mike Surber's case. What do you think?

Main thing is to try n keep it as fresh as posible in as many peoples memory as posible..From the looks of the guy it's easy to see that he's far from a homebody...All we need is one chance encounter with someone who has just seen his photo & it's a wrap.

IMO, he will get caught but most likely when he gets picked up on another case. He is not too bright as he skipped out on that bill at that one place. If he gets popped for something stupid, his prints will get ran and then he will be toast. I am 100% positive they got prints from the Mike Surber case of his. I just hope it gets resolved quickly before he kills someone again.

Thanks, Troy!

Sketches aren't very helpful. Like that one- I'm pretty sure that's Charlie Sheen.

I have just received information that a reward fund is currently being worked on.

I hope this helps.

I spoke with Lt. Flowers of the OSPD yesterday. He's peronally working on this case night and day, and that two forensic labs are working on evidence. He said that he lays in bed at night seeing this guy's picture in his mind. So this is a dedicated police officer.

When I mentioned "America's Most Wanted", he said that he'd sent several Emails and letters to them. He'd love to see the exposure of this case on that show in order to help catch the guy. I think everyone would.

Incidentally, when I brought up the subject of AMW possibly not being interested in this case because there was a hunt for a guy considered only a "person of interest", the Lieutenant said that this guy is a suspect. And that "POI" and "suspect" are the same. I believe he told AMW that the guy is a suspect.

That's good there is someone dedicated to this case. Let's keep the noose tightening around this guys neck.

Thanks Doc. I think SUSPECT in the murder of Mike Surber sounds a lot more powerful than Person of Interest in the murder of Mike Surber.

Hopefully, the DNA will shed more light on this man's identity.

I especially like the concern that Lt. Flowers shared with you and appreciate you sharing it with us.

Yes, the DNA evidence is huge, because if they ever get ahold of this suspect, he can be positively linked to the crime.

I was both glad and sad to hear of the evidence removed from underneath Mike's fingernails. Glad because they got the evidence; but sad because I realized that the evidence found in that area means that there was a struggle. In my heart, I'd hoped that Mike was simply bludgeoned from behind, and never knew what hit him.

I'm very optimistic that they'll get this guy.

Fbi

I'm very optimistic that they'll get this guy.

I am too Doc.
I just wish the FBI would get involved and use their vast
resources to track this guy down.
I keep clicking on this thread hoping there is a positive
announcement, and your optimism is appreciated.
