Justice for Mike Surber

I am too Doc.
I just wish the FBI would get involved and use their vast
resources to track this guy down.
I keep clicking on this thread hoping there is a positive
announcement, and your optimism is appreciated.

Ted
Right on, Ted. However, the FBI is involved. I assume that theirs is one of the crime labs working the forensics. The suspect has visited several states. The identity he stole, Jericho Cooper, belongs to a black man from the greater Atlanta area. But I don't believe it's known where the suspect comes from. He didn't have an obvious southern accent. As I recall, his accent wasn't distinctive.

Jam

Jam, the poster looks like the rich kid from the MAX FACTOR or something like that, ID CHANNEL if that helps....luster , it will come to me

If the person who is being looked for, and crooses a state line to leave Mississippi, that crossing is a Federal Crime.

Unless a warrant has been issued (it hasn't) the 'person of interest' isn't breaking any law. He's free to travel wherever he wishes.

IF he is the murderer and flees to avoid prosecution, then it's a crime.

Anybody with brains wouldn't worry about. When your looking at the death penalty, what's another 5 years?

I'm really surprised they haven't caught this guy yet. But then again, it took years to catch William Rudolph hiding out in the mountains.

I know I'll be thinking about him till someone's caught. I'll be missing him at the Derby this year.

Obviously, he knows he's wanted. If he's traveled to 'several states'. I'd be interested in knowing if the 'real' Jericho Cooper was a pool player also?

Also, the suspect apparently had physical possession of Jericho Cooper's credit cards. That could mean that they were stolen credit cards. How does someone steal your credit cards? Robs, you, robs your house when you are not there etc........I wonder if the real Jericho Cooper remembered ever seeing the suspect before.

I think the suspect has a special look to him and a unique style about him and it would be hard to forget him, imo. I think I could recognize him with a shaved head and that's how I'm trying to imagine him.

The actual Jericho Cooper was questioned, and found to have no connection to the suspect whatsoever. The suspect may not be a pool player at all.

Sounds like they had some agents at Turning Stone looking for the guy. As Joe Louis said, "You can run but you can't hide". This guy can't stay out of pool halls and casinos forever, it is what he does.

Hopefully when the do catch him he will give the cops a reason to use lethal force.

You can also apply for one, if you have the SSN and birth date of the person you are trying to impersonate.

As i went to the Stone i thought to myself will this guy be there.
Then during our commentary(upstate al and myself) I noticed a guy at the end of the bleachers standing up by himself that looked alot like the guy in question. We alerted the security people and showed them the pictures of the person wanted for questioning. They alerted more security imeadiatly and had more eyes on this guy that on the feature match. In due time as to being careful they found the right opprotunity to question him. He was not alone but with others and did seem to be there as a normal group of spectators as we observed him from afar. So after alot of questioning and checking it was determined by the authorities that took charge of things that he was indeed not the person who is sought for questioning.
I gotta say he did look alot like the guy we are looking for. Others also agreed with me on this. But i guess there can be people that look alike. Accually a guy that lives in the building where i live has some resemblance, but i have known him for years and there is no way. He is disabled and uses a walking stick. Just saying it is possible that there maybe many who look alike.
I don't get around as much as I used to do, but I am on the look out !

If you have any question please don't ask me. I have said all I know to you here. If you need to know more you gotta ask security at the Stone.

Yes, but then the authorities would have the address to find the person who's name appears on THAT particular credit card as well as their telephone number since they have to authenticate the card by their home phone.

I'm happy to hear that people are on the lookout for this suspect! My guess, though, is that a pool tournament is the last place this guy would go. Especially now. I think he's a bottom feeder, and would more likely try to pull his scams at taverns.

The nice part is that most taverns today have a pool table(s). So there's a better chance that a pool player will have seen this guy's picture on the pool websites.

Incidentally, we're thinking about starting some petitions to "America's Most Wanted" to have a treatment of this story. A national petition would have much more weight than would a local one. Anyone know how to start a legitimate online petition?

If you could get "America's Most Wanted" to air the story the chance of the guy being caught would be very high.

What we need to make happen is to get that video from the poolroom onto Youtube, where many thousands of people will see it. Doc, please contact the detective in charge of this investigation. Jam may already be working on this, but your support would be helpful.

I have aired the surveilance pics and read from the website on the BMW , Bigtruck's Most Wanted, segment of my show.

I am compiling a free standing commercial with sound to air soon.

Let's get this creep!!
