Looks like the lathe is shaping up-- a starter package can't be too far off!

Lee

Lee,
I've been trying to contact you, but you haven't replied to my email or phone calls. PLease call me or email me.
thanks, Bill H from NJ

Lee is really a nice guy... But this is the stuff that drives me crazy...
He does not respond to email or pm's or whatever.
If you can't reach him by phone you are sol.

I've been exchanging PMs with him pretty frequently about his lathe. You might try him by PM?

Saw the lathe at the US Open and I really like the Duel Chuck Lathe Headstock that Lee is selling. Good to see that a full lathe is now on the way.

Regards,
Duc.

Yes Duc we just finished it last night and I brought the lathe home to my shop at the house for pictures and doing final cad drawings heres where we are at
The lathe is 4 ft long dove tail also is 4 ft long the headstock is moveable anywhere on the dovetail, lets say your doing a shaft you move the headstock forward and use the suport in the rear to suport the back of the shaft you would also do the same if you where working on a butt section. There is a seprate DC motor and controler to drive the leadscrew which is supported on each end whith a brozne bushing that has a grease sert the leadscrew also runs the length of the bed so the carriage and cross slide can also be used in any postion you desire. The tail stock is key wayed side ways and up and down for pin point accuarcy! If you would like to tapper a butt just offset the tail stock tailstock. The lathe also comes with drill chuck and 3 live centers using them on the tailstock or the other end special fixture to suport the whatever is sticking out the rear of the lathe. The tail stock is easliy adjustable with brass thumbscrews no trying to find allen wrenchs. We have payed much attention to detail on this lathe... trying to give you the following.

Superoir strength with 95% aluimium construction

Portable but sturdy... easy to transport to events

Indexable headstock 24 places (for ringwork or doing points)

Dual chucks with 1-3/8 thru hole (acepts butts or shafts thru the center)

Dc motors and controls reversable (headstock and leadscrew)
Full 4 ft bed and leadscrew

Limited lifetime warranty on lathe... items not covered
are bearings, gibbs,DC motor and controler, tool bits and belts.

I will be posting pictures of the lathe and all the goodies that go with it.
Making almost everything in house keeps the cost down some poeple dont realize just how much maching is involed here, a lot of the goodies are all hand made like knobs and small brackets pullies and the complete headstock we even re manufactured the chucks ourselfs and are making the dovetails ourselfs also I realize that pictures dont do this justice but this baby is rock solid and very accurate being smaller it may take a little longer for certin procedtures but the end result is worth it like any new machine there will be a learning curve but a few days practice and you should be on the way to doing quality cue repair and cue building this first machine will be ready to ship after we take phots and video i would say this friday or monday at the lastest thanks everyone for your suport....lee

Availability

I understand the price for this lathe to be $2100.00 + shipping and includes the added extras as an incentive.
Is this the only package available like this or will there be more of these package deals available here or on your web site?

even more pictures

Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!
