Very 1st Cochran Hoppe Cue!!

I don't know why Mike used shorter ferruls,but I do know Balabushka got the reputation foir playing good using 5/8th on his early cues.Only later the 1 inch became popular for the looks.Dennis Glenn explained this to me over lunch Wednsday and it was his opinion that the shorter ferrules had less deflection thus playing better

Whether or not that was Mikes reason,or even if they do play different requires more knowledge than I have.Neither do I have pictures to back me up here

I do know I like to play with Scruggs cues,but I can't tell you why

Fabulous cue Bnall. But maybe you should consider selling it and buying that poor tree a few more ornaments!:grin:

I agree, my 20-YEAR old daughter seems to be mad at a mom all them time.
She's only daddy's girl when she wants clothes or a new car...
 
Thanks again for the comments on the cue and my daughter. I will playing with this cue all weekend I'm planning on playing some ring games with my two sons. Hopefully I can win back their allowance I gave them this week.:grin:

With this cue you might have the slimmest of edges against the boys.L.O.L.

I really got this cue dialed in this weekend. Hell I even won back lunch and allowance money in several rings games with my two sons. I guess you can say this cue is starting to pay for itself.:grin:
