pooldink307...Sir, am I to understand that you have the same disrespect for Allen Hopkins that your "friend" denzy has? The only comment I ever made to denzy was based on a comment he made regarding a tournament that Hopkins promoted. I said that denzy didn't have his facts correct, and I stand by that. Why that requires all this badmouthing back and forth escapes me.

this coming from a self proclaimed dink....you and denzy deserve each other...since both of you play so well just come to either white diamonds or the tulsa one hole classic and lets put up a 1,000 on the light you both have action in any game you want...one hole, 9 ball, 10 ball, 8 ball, banks, straight pool. Put those big mouths where they belong and come get something sweet mutt & jeff

Very late post, but thought I would contribute (just to add to the troll-count of this thread which is already considerable).
I have always thought that a top instructor should have at least been able to play at a low professional level at some time in his life. If his methods are adequate for this, then they should be adequate to instruct at the highest level.
In the past year I have asked 2 instructors (whom I consider to be the 2 best on the planet - they have not participated in this thread) their opinion on who qualifies in this regard - both have answered that all of the instructors participating in this thread are eminently qualified with regard to their playing ability - and that they are also at the highest level of pool instructors. I consider Scott, Randy, and Steve to be tremendous resources for AZB, and would like to thank them for their participation; and for putting up with the trolls.
You are lucky to have some time to play with Scott; he has threatened to visit Betmore's Basement, but has always had the good sense to avoid it so far.

Don...That is NO idle threat. I MUST make an appearance in Betmore's Basement, to at least be considered competition for the coveted Betmore Cup...which has eluded many so far!
