57" cues??? where's

normally i use 58" cues and i like them balanced between 18-19 inches from the bumper with the shaft screwed on. if you were to make a cue that was 57" where would you want it to be balanced?
 
I would think it would be between 16 & 17 inches. So you would still have the forward balance.
 
I agree. Maybe even 17-18. Its totally different bc you basically holding the cue far back unless your short. I like the play of the 57'' better but i dont like the stretch. I find myself using the bridge more it shooting in a funny stance too often. So all factors in i stick 58.

Same for 59. Ups and downs. Love the legnth but i miss balls more often when i have to really hit one. Pick your poison i guess

well just being shorter. i will have to admit i dont know the "proper" terms to explain this but think about trying to break a 12'' pc of wood over your knee and a 6'' piece of wood. over the short distance the 6'' is stronger, same concept

Subtract an inch for inch in length down to 56", and you will achieve the balance you want.
