Help sponsor Larry Nevel at the DCC - $100 per share

K.C.? Kristin Cavallari? That's just not fair!

Uh, watchez changed the title of the thread after he came up with the idea of having shareholders. When Larry started it the title was "Looking for a sponsor for DCC".

how the hell did Watchez change it? I knew he had a SuperUser account. I'm gonna go mask all of my info so he can't manipulate it.

I did change it....don't worry about how I do things. I got powers beyond belief.

In the original title, Larry spelled DCC as DDC, which I thought was funny as well.

Watchez usually books winner's

Very seldom have I seen Watchez not be on the correct side of a bet.

:frown:

The original post implies that he is looking for a backer for the event. That would normally include travel expense, entry fees and lodging. Food is usually not part of this equation. You have to eat wherever you are.

Taking the above into account, I could see where $1,900 was not out of line. A fairly typical deal where the stake horse gets their money back first and then whatever remains is split 50-50 with the player.

When I discovered that there was no hotel or entry fees involved, I could not justify the cost of $1,900 (or $2,000) to stake Larry. I wish Larry the best of luck at DCC. Maybe he will take part of that money and jump into the Fatboy Challenge for $500. That would make sense for him and his backers.

P.S. The number of posts Larry has on here had nothing to do with my decision.
jay i see where you guys are com from.
i dont play as good as larry and i get free room and entry.
i would not give up half for 1900.

This is getting intense.......

Well my over under for reaching 1,000,000 posts was end of January, with this thread it is looking more like sometime around 3am tonight.

my two cents...

- Not sure about the usage of the two grand, but with a weaker field than most years I like the chances of everyone making at least some profit off of this. I might even jump on this opportunity. I think if he was entering the Fatboy challenge that might seal it for me. I too however am going to wait until he gets back on here and clarifys.

- As far as the rest of this thread goes.....It saddens me to see people getting in petty arguements and name calling over such small issues...........Donny: you are a great player and you finished 3rd in the US Open this year for crying out loud, please don't get involved in these arguements they just diminish the already tarnished image of the pro pool player.........Oldzilla: You are a respected poster on here. Why get involved ??

Just my thoughts,

Dave

with all included it will cost about 1900.00 to go. with that you will get your money back first and then split the winnings from there. the all around bonus you will get 25% of that.

Larry,
Don't you, as a past all around winner, get free entry into the events. I understand that there are a lot more than just entry fees but I was curious about that. I imagine room, food and travel could come close to the $1900 but if someone is staking you and not even paying entry fees, they are really getting a good deal in the split! If I'm wrong about the free entry's please correct me. I wish you the best of luck in getting a sponsor and in the event itself! You're certainly a good horse to have in the race!

just more hot air!
