I only get out to the bar once or twice a week, and usually for competition, so not a lot of time to practice.
Don't neglect the body. You can do some squats and core exercises at home to strengthen your base and improve your endurance. When you become fatigued your game will suffer. And yeah, throw away that bottle. Why spend a lot of time trying to master a complicated and error prone stroke when a simple pendulum stroke is accurate, consistent, and easy to learn and master.
