The ballence point on my schon is 18.5 with one shaft and closer to 19 with the other. The first is a 12.5mm shaft. I tried out a all ebony sneaky pete from schon and it felt more butt heavy than my current player. Not sure if it had a weight bolt either. I would say they all may be a little different, but close to that range.
I believe Schon cores their cues and I would expect the balance point to be very close to the same, especially for the same model. The big difference would be the tip.
The balance point on my SL-5 is 19".
Interesting story about that. I played a guy in a tournament who told me he used to own my Schon, traded it for the Joss he was using. I was skeptical and he told me he put a washer in the butt of the cue. About a year later I was considering trading the cue and just for the heck of it I removed the bumper. Sure enough, there was a washer in the butt. I removed the washer and the cue played better with the balance point moved forward where Schon intended it to be.
