What was your first keeper cue?

That was my first SW. A pool player friend was going to Vegas about 20 years ago and I told him to get me a nice SW.

I gave him $1,500 and he brought back that cue & some change. I played with it for about 10 years until they made me my custom ivory cue.

Glad it has a good home. It looks & plays fantastic!

I'd forgotten it was you FIRST South West. It is now refinished and almost pristine, with loa's from Cuaba and SW. I've hit with a couple dozen different SW's and none hit as nice as this one. I told Cuaba when I saw it, and I still believe, that it's the most handsome cue I've ever seen. It just pleases my eye... the color combination and design are perfect for me.

Ok so what I am asking is what was the first cue that you bought, that you never intended to get rid of? The cue that you would never sell. Mine is a cue that I bought on here in April of '09. It is an older Jacoby J-16. I don't think I will ever sell this cue. In fact I think I am gonna add on to it by purchasing another shaft from Jacoby. And did you sell your keeper cue, and if so how badly do you regret it?
Trevor

Every cue i own now i'd like to keep but for the right price every thing's for sale (That's right ladies........EVERYTHING!).

it's always been this way but especially these days CASH IS KING

Huebler

My old no-name Huebler has be with me since the 70's, couldn't part with it after such a long journey!

My first "keeper" was an old Abe Rich cue I bought in 1972(Still got it). Since then, 13 Gus', 2 Bushkas, 5 SW, 1 Kersenbrock and a sh!tload of Sherm Cues (that I've sold)! Now... I have 1 cue I made for David Howard, 2 I made for Gary Spaeth, and 1 for Landon Shuffet that I'll probably hang on to!

I too have a Abe Rich <circa 1979 Sneaky Pete>, my first keeper cue. I since had a shaft made by Dennis Searing and actually cut it and added a jump option.

Voo~~~always thinks of pop when I look at it:yes:

A McDermott B-1 from 1977 and a 1978 Josswest. I still have both.
