Burt Kellerman pool cue auction List

Hi Vince,
Is it possible for people that have submitted bid on the items to receiving the final result for them. I've placed bids on over 30 cues and didn't hear back as to whether any of my bids submitted were successful. Someone email a list of the final prices, I don't know if they are correct but if they are I should have won a few items. Please email result to me at dlam0718@gmail.com.
Eg. #23: Falcon: My bid was for $300.00
Eg. #102: John Guffey: My bid was $800.00
Eg. #84: Schon: My bid was $650.00
Eg. #49: Verl Horn: My bid was only $950.00.

There were a lot of cues in his collection that were not shown in the pictures.
The one I am most curious about is the Bushka. was it auctioned? my old McDaniel wasn't shown, the Gus??? cue ( it is/was ) was not shown. I can think of several cues hat were not in the pics. Does any one know what happened with the 40 or so other cues he had?

I had heard that he had two Balabushkas, couple of Szamboti's, etc...
Every cue that was on the auction website was accounted for, to my knowledge there were no other cues auctioned that were not supposed to be. A couple of years ago I did buy a fancy SW that came from the Kellerman estate, so I imagine that several of his cues have been sold through the years.

But you're right...he did get a real nice surprise today....are you gonna let him keep it? He said it was a keeper...I'm sure he won't sell it...this could be the start of his first cue collection.
Kay did not sell any cues until now. I am certain a few slipped out however. Burt he had 302 cues within days of his passing. he was a buyer, not a seller! he did every once in a while do some selling of cues that were not particularly interesting to him, But I doubt he sold 40 cues total ever. most of them were involved in a trade. there were two tads in the second auction. any one find the second one?? There was also an early one in the first one.
I don't recall seeing the gold and ivory Judd with the white leather wrap either, now that I think about it.
There was one Gus and one Balabushka that I knew of.. and a little bit of everything else!!

Jayman, I too was a friend of Burts and yes some of his cues did make it out prior to this auction. Several cues were sold around Denver awhile back. I don't know what happened to the Gus or Bushka, but the Judd with the Ivory/Gold and white leather wrap was one of the last items of the 2nd auction. I sold Burt 6 or 7 cues over the years and all of the ones I sold him were sold between the two auctions. I only knew of one Tad listed to sell in the 2nd auction, so I'm not sure about any second one. Burt was a good guy and will be missed greatly.

I believe the SW I got was sold to someone by Burts son after his death and then to me. At the time, this guy (maybe his son) was willing to show me many cues that he intimated would be for sale. Although I was interested, I never did meet up with him to look at them. ?? It also occurs to me that I had another fancy Mottey at one time that was supposed to have come from his collection....or so I was told.

Only 1 cue went to an absentee bidder. We will not post the results, as to protect the people who bought them for resale.
Do not really know about any missing cues. I know Kay sold a few over the years.
The Judd with the white wrap and gold, was actually sold with a black wrap and most know the winner.

I think I saw the one pictured. If it has a black wrap that was likely a different cue. The one I am referring to had an ivory joint gold rings ivory points gold veneers white wrap ivory butt-cap and a lot of gold inlay. Awesome Cue! Does that sound right? there is not much chance on earth Burt changed the wrap on that one. He waited a long time for just the right wrap.But I guess it is possible.
Can you re-post a pic of the one that you mentioned? I would love to take another look if possible. Maybe i am mistaken,

The white wrap on the Judd was changed before the auction.
Several cues needed to be cleaned up or repaired a little.
Chris did most of the work, Ernie did some also, Dave had to spread to work around a little.
Dave Hughes put long hours almost everyday doing the best he could to matchup shafts, get the cues identified, catalogued, weighed and cleaned up.
It was a very tedious job and I wouldn't of wanted to do it.
Every single butt and shaft that was brought over was accounted for, even the oddball shafts and extra shafts.
There were definitely some cues that I've heard about over the years that never showed up.
Specifically the Balabushka, a couple of Szamboti's, and even some Schons.

The way it was described to me it sounds like a nice one.

That makes sense.I skimmed through the pics a couple of times trying spot that white wrap.I knew Burt would not have changed that.He designed that one and wanted a certain tone of white for the wrap. The cue was completed for a while before he found just the one he liked.Most were "to white", It's a fantastic cue. So who picked that one up?

I have to agree with Cuemaster. I bid on quite few cues and cases. I never heard anything. I feel I have the right to know what the items sold for. I spent considerable time researching and providing you with a proper bidding sheet. How about private message. I will not devulge the prices. I feel I was not even represented.

All that I know for sure is that there was a staff member standing at the front table that was flipping through numerous proxy sheets through the whole auction. She was very active and did a lot of bidding. I don't know what her sheets said but she always nodded NO when she was out of the bidding.
