I was just wondering if anyone knew who, if anyone, is streaming the 10 ball event from Valley Forge this weekend? I watched it last year, and it was done via AZ, with JoeyA doing alot of the commentary. Hope it will be available again this year. Any thoughts??

AZ did have a stream there last year, but JoeyA was commentating on the Inside Pool Stream.

Inside Pool was using Dustin McCollum with Spheregon at the time. This year JR is streaming it himself with the help of someone with little to no streaming experience. Hopefully it wont be another Galveston minus JoeyA.

Wow, tell me that doesn't sound like a knock.

If it's free, i'm not really too concerned if it's a Hollywood Steven Spielberg production, or if it's done with a cell phone by a hack.

I'll go ahead and thank them now for providing it.

With the quality of this event, you would think Allen would want someone like Accustats or TAR to cover it. Inside Pool stream was great when Dustin McCollum was involved. Take Dustin out of the picture and Galveston coverage was hard to stomach aside from the awesome commentary by JoeyA and company. I really DO hope this comes off well, just not optimistic.

Glad to hear that it will be streamed. Any idea when it will start ?

I don't really think Allen cares about whether it is streamed or not.
His event has been very successful even before streaming. Why should he care now?

Considering that everyone on here knows that you also stream tournaments, you might want to wait till the stream is a total flop, and then come in with the inexperience comments.
Otherwise, it just looks like you are salty about someone else getting the gig, rather then you, and knocking them before it even happens, to get a couple of cheap shots in.

Whether that's true or not, doesn't matter.

That's is what it look like.

Raph, quit trying to stir the pot. There was no way I could take on an event this size right now. I'm a viewer that watches pool, just like you.

See you on the stream.

While the Galveston streaming started off with problems, once they were worked out, I saw some of the best matches and commentary I have seen to date in online pool streaming. Joey A was good, and the addition of very knowlegeable players like Jeremy Jones and Nick Varner in the booth made the analysis top rate.

I agree 100%. JoeyA did an incredible job bringing some great talent with him in the booth.

Ray - I just now found this thread. You said you were going to be streaming the Artistic Pool Masters, when I asked you. Does this mean you aren't????

Why should he care?

How about because streaming is starting to be the main medi source for live pool to be distributed to the fans of this sport, and it is through fan viewership, support, and growth that this sport will start to see a more positive future with larger prize purses, larger scale sponsorship, and possibly the creation of a true professional tour for this sport in time.

Streaming is not just about letting a few pool fans watch some live pool on the internet, it has a huge part in creating a viable business plan for professional pool and testing and honing its use in the variety of events we have right now to figure out what works and what does not is a crucial step.

If Allen cares about the sport beyond his own tournament he should care, and I am sure he realizes alot of the above even if you don't.

That's correct Renee'.

The Artistic is something that is close to my heart and I certainly could have handled that. JR Calvert had the media agreement for VF and He decided to cover the Artistic too.

What a great bunch of people! I hope they get the coverage they deserve.

LOL. Is this another knock attempt? :D

Can't take on the event? Very interesting hearing you say this, considering that up until last week, you were trying to get the contract.
Maybe you'd still be in the running if you didn't end your association with Inside Pool.

As far as your comments are concerned.
Don't think that your comments and tactics have gone unnoticed by the pool industry.
We all know that you are strictly in it for the money.
Poor Sylver and Gabe. I kind of feel bad for them.
but anyway, allow me to enlighten some people.

Allow me.

Where you come off condescending and arrogant when talking to Lenny.

Very interesting how your statement of "This match would deserve a FULL production." that you say in the OnePocket/Sylver thread, sounds hauntingly like what you've said here, "With the quality of this event, you would think Allen would want someone like Accustats or TAR to cover it.", which is basically saying in Bigtruck terms, that there could be better people doing it.
Hmmmmm.
That seems to be the pattern.

See you on the streams.

I have too much response for this, in the short time I have, while here at Valley Forge. I hate writing the little novels to say what I need to say. Maybe one day I'll try to spit it all out.

In the meantime... What a mess!

how can I say this ......hmmm

A kicked dog will bark . That about sums it up. Yeah Derek ,Ten Bears would say that Superstars words have much iron .Ten Bears was the indian chief on the Outlaw Josey Wales
I turn 40 this week some of you younger guys may not have seen it ......classic !!
