I played Jason near the end of the tournament. All this man did the whole tournament was break and run, break and run. When I played him I just happened to get the last good roll against him. Kicking at the four ball I slopped in the nine.

No mention here about the calcutta winnings. I guess it's hush hush.

When Greg started shooting at Mr. Lucky's, only a couple of years ago, he had alot to learn but he has and is a young gun now - kudos to Greg - just a couple of years - BAM.

Congratulations to a really nice man who happens to play pretty good, too! Rep for you for the post.

Just had to add a little side story this weekend at the Rum Runner...

On Saturday, Ernesto had fairly early match and, business as usual, goes to work and wins the match to stay on the good side going into Sunday. As he finishes the match and waits until Oscar's match later in the afternoon. I notice he's outside with the car hood up. I go out there to see what's wrong and he tells me he has to replace the radiator in his car. Keep in mind, he's no automechanic but...what the hell...he's gonna do it with the limited tools for the job.

Plays lights out...gets kicked to the one-loss side and comes back in a true double elimination tournament and SNAPS IT OFF! and replaces his radiator in his car in between matches!

HOW STRONG IS THAT?

I couldnt fade the smoke either, so I watched the first set of the finals and came home,

Ernesto is great, glad to see him to win, he came over and leveled the GC5 showed me a couple shots, Oscar was there as well, we had a great time as usual-then they drove back to LA. They had a good week, Ernesto was in action at cue club after he won the tournemnrt as well, he did good there too-I'll leave it at that. They had a great week, couldnt happen to better people.

Ernesto is the man...love the radiator story.

He also won twice as much as J. Archer did for winning the Seminole tourney against Toastie, Schmidt, Deuel,etc....

Interesting. What was the entry fee and how many players ? Were there added money ? The smoke though would keep me away.

Ya can't get home on money alone.....I R&R'd the head on my 140ci Ford Falcon yrs' ago on my way to Weenie Beenie's/Devalles' event early 70's, got a hotel room next to the dealer, they did a valve job, got back on the road next day and made it in time to play. While I was there, saw Carella bust Louie Roberts, then Mike let Louie cash in his jewelry for one last barrel, Louie then busted Mike.
