Vise Grip Cloth Stretchers

Because Pat O'Donnell has been so persistant, I have decided to make a batch of these cloth stretchers. This will be the only time I will make these so if you want one, tell me now. I will establish a cutoff date soon, within 10 days or so, and then start the batch.

The stretcher will be built on the Vise Grip 8R frame just like the picture but there will be two minor differences from the picture. (1) the leverage tab will be welded rather than brazed (I did not have a wire feed welder when I made the first pair) and, (2) Vise Grip products are now made in China. Yours will be a genuine Vise Grip 8R frame, but made in China. If you can find a "made in USA" pair locally (there are a few hanging around in hardware stores still) and send them to me, you will get that same frame back.

The cost will be $75.00 per stretcher. If you provide your own frame, the cost will be $55.00 (the difference being how much it costs me to order them from Grainger). Used frames are OK as long as they are not ratty or dirty. There is no upfront charge unless you want more than one stretcher. Once I have the batch done, I will ship to you via UPS ground (UPS cost plus a buck for the box). I will work out payment methods once I get them done, but it will probably be paypal or money order.

If you want one of these, PM me your info; Name and/or company name, shipping address (and for UPS purposes, residential or business address), phone number, etc. and I will add yours to the batch.

Thanks, Kerry

Thanks Kerry. I appreciate you taking the time to make the cloth pullers. They are great for getting Simonis to the proper stretch index. Also keeps the knuckles in tact.

I plan on ordering the Vise Grip frames from Grainger on Friday afternoon, April 16th and starting the batch as soon as they get here. I will pm everybody that has signed up for these once the list is complete and I have a delivery date from Grainger. If you want one of these, pm me by April 16th noon.

Thanks, Kerry

Hey Guys!
Kerry has agreed to make another run of these if we can get 25 orders together. I already have 5 sold so we need 20 more. These pullers are awesome. If you want to get the most stretch you can out of worsted cloth these are a must. The new Simonis DVD has Jay useing a pair. So for the guys who purchase the DVD in hopes of doing a better job with Simonis cloth these definatly help. If you already have a pair please help in getting another production run by giving an honest oppinion of the pullers.

cloth pullers

I will take another 4 pairs also. It might be awhile til the next run of these. For ten years I had been using a pair of cloth pullers that was not on a vice-grip frame and these are so much nicer because you don't have to hold the pliers tightly closed and pull. Just clamp the cloth and then pull. They work great!!!
