If they made sets of OB's with small freckles all over them (like the measal ball but a lot smaler) everyone would have aiming points to lock in on. (I know, I'm probably losing it):) Johnnyt
 
it'd make a nice lil training aid maybe. Or maybe they already have marked OBs for training? You can also use the ol' carpenter's laser level to make any OB a dotted OB.

I find dinged dirty balls provide useful spots to lock onto, but they suck to rack and break.

thats what the sides of the shaft are for...ever hold your cue up in front your sight line and "see through" it? You can use the edges of the shaft to line up cuts and such.

Yes. I use to make hard cut-shots better when OB was a stripe. Now I use Joe Tucker's Aiming System and I shoot solids as well as I do stripes. Johnnyt
