There have been various threads on this forum about 9-ball vs 10-ball and I've always taken the stance that "it's just one more frickin' ball, what's the big deal?"
Well, I was speaking out of ignorance because I had never actually played 10 ball. Tonight I was shooting some straight pool with a friend and while I was racking for him the thought popped in my head so I said "Hey, have you ever played 10-ball?" he said no so I suggested a race to 6 after we were finished with the straights.
It's a totally different demon. I was slamming that rack with everything I have and only making one ball or nothing. The balls also seem to come to a stop in weird positions too and the patterns actually look different. Strange.
Anyway, I apologize. I was wrong. Interesting game. I think I'll be playing quite a bit of it from now on. I liked it.
