Is there one? Is there one that is any good? Break has always been my nemesis with pocketing balls consistantly. I guess that is why I like to play one pocket more. Would like to improve but feel like I dont know the proper things to practice. Like they say, practice doesnt make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. Thanks.

Disc V of VEPS covers break-shot techniques fairly well, but the disc is not dedicated exclusively to ths topic. FYI, there are also a lot of good online resources dealing with the break here:

Colin Colenso has about a 15 minute video on YouTube about power breaking. He outlines a lot of core ideas that can help you with your break.

Joe Tucker is the man

I doubt anybody goes into more detail on breaks than Joe Tucker in his two DVD set. Breaking is as much or more about smarts than it is about power. Check every rack. You aren't looking for slug racks as much as anything to exploit. I tell the person competing with me that when they ask why I am looking over racks so closely and it makes for very good racks!

Never break harder than you can control the cue ball hitting exactly where and how you want to. That will help more on the break than anything you can do trying to increase power.
