There's two I can think of, maybe three. I know that at the 1999 World Pool Championships, Efren ran something like eight racks (or nine) on Francisco in the semifinals. In the 2000 WPC, Morro Paez won nine games in a row on Earl, and most if not all, were run outs. I have the DVD's of these matches.

In an earlier Sands Regency tournament, Danny Medina broke and ran nine racks, but I forgot who his opponent was. And I was sitting right there as the TD. I believe Accu-Stats has this match on tape. Earl had so many six and seven rack runs back then, that there must be some on tape as well.

That's all I can think of right now.

Medina match was aginst a commentating monster not named Grady. hint hint.

It's probably not the biggest string, but Wu winning the world championship by running out the set was probably the gutsiest. I recall someone quoting Corey saying that was the greatest thing in pool he ever seen.

Travis Trotter has like 78 in 9-ball and 63 in 10 ball

but his dad has an 80 and a 72..

neither can figure out you-tube so it will never be posted, but Travis offers his "thanks"

;)

One of those Sands tapes is Earl and Johnny and Earl was up something like 9-1, missed a ball and Archer finished that rack and then ran something like 7 racks to get back in it. I think Earl pulled it out though. Man, those Sands tapes are some of the best out there.

Efren Reyes VS Francisco Bustamante 1999 World Pool Championships takes the cake. Francisco gets up 4-1 and Efren runs 8 on him in a race to 10. He also ran a 9 pack on someone else in the tournament before his match with Francisco. I think it was Ralph Souquet, but I'm not to sure.

any videos you could link for us?

I don't know how many racks in a row were run but the infamous Hong Kong match between Earl and Efren has some sporty play in it. I think on day 2 Earl ran something like 16 out of 30 or so racks.

I have an old accu-stats tape of Morro running a half rack then 8 racks on Danny Medina in Arizona. I'm not sure what the tournament was I will have to go through my tapes. Also Danny Medina ran 9 racks on Billy Incardona in Reno I believe. Johnny Archer ran 13 racks from the opening break on Fransico Bustamante gambling in 9 ball in Toledo Ohio in the early 90's. I don't believe it was filmed but I have played there and Archer signed the table. The way I heard it was Busta won the 1st set then Archer ran 13 and out. Then Busta asked Archer to double the bet and Busta won the last set......

Your forgetting the million dollar 10 rack run by Earl that CJ has.

It's my understanding that they don't have the full 10 racks on tape. I think the story was that they didn't start filming until he was in like his 7th rack and they were like "Oh crap, he might actually do this" Anyone know the full story? It's also my understanding he had something like 4 games where he made the 9 on the break so, in a sense, it's not actually running 10 racks. I also recall hearing that million dollar shot was a table length back cut 1-9 combo that would make normal people pee their pants. God love Earl.

They have racks six thru eleven on tape. Earl actually ran eleven racks total. He did make the nine ball three times during the course of the run. The 1-9 combo was a long one onto the nine, which was maybe a foot from the corner pocket. Definitely a tough shot under the circumstances.

That's one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in pool as well. To run six-and-out in the finals of the World 9-Ball Championship with your opponent on the hill is simply incredible.
