who has the most break and run in 9 and 10 ball on tape(video)

That's one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in pool as well. To run six-and-out in the finals of the World 9-Ball Championship with your opponent on the hill is simply incredible.

Agreed, wasn't he like 16 years old or something at the time?

I do own the North American video/dvd rights to the 1999 and 2000 WPC, but I've given up trying to protect it. Impossible!

Sorry Jay. I just want to state I didn't post these videos I just looked it up on YouTube when someone asked in this thread for links.

In the finals of one of those big tournaments in Asia, Ko Pin Yi was down 14-4 against Orcullo in a race to 15. He ran 11 racks and out to win the tournament.

The video is here, but the camera is zoomed in a little too much and cuts out the bottom two corner pockets.

This kid really is the real deal. I think he is the next Yang.

There's two I can think of, maybe three. I know that at the 1999 World Pool Championships, Efren ran something like eight racks (or nine) on Francisco in the semifinals. In the 2000 WPC, Morro Paez won nine games in a row on Earl, and most if not all, were run outs. I have the DVD's of these matches.

In an earlier Sands Regency tournament, Danny Medina broke and ran nine racks, but I forgot who his opponent was. And I was sitting right there as the TD. I believe Accu-Stats has this match on tape. Earl had so many six and seven rack runs back then, that there must be some on tape as well.

That's all I can think of right now.

IT was Billy Incardona. What stop that run was when Danny jumped the cueball of the table during his break shot. In typical Billy fashion, he congratulates Danny on his run and then proceeds to setup his first shot with the butt end of his cue. Accu-stats has this run on one of their best-of VHS. If I remember correctly their was a couple of racks that were tricky.

Danny Medina put a 9 pack on Billy Incardona in a 9-ball tournament on an accu-stats video. I think it was the Sands Regency Open, I don't remember what year it was.

They have racks six thru eleven on tape. Earl actually ran eleven racks total. He did make the nine ball three times during the course of the run. The 1-9 combo was a long one onto the nine, which was maybe a foot from the corner pocket. Definitely a tough shot under the circumstances.

I think the combos and 9 on the break was the major point the company that was to pay off the money for the run used to try to not pay. They were saying that what he did was not what the contract spelled out. I think it was settled for about half of the million, is the correct? Anyone know?

sounds like the jib i've always heard

Not sure how many racks he ran, but didnt Corey Duel win the us open 9-ball 11-0 in the finals?

Yes- That was the year the soft break was fully allowed. He made 4 balls on one break which was probably around 11 MPH. His opponent had 3-4 chances and couldnt get arrested. Just one of those matches.

Johnny Archer on his website states that his highest run on 9-ball is 13. I don't know if it has ever been taped!
