Make ONE APA Sticky and be done with it...

Wah, someone is sandbagging,
Wah, my LO cheated us.
Wah, my SL raised
Wah, where did all of our money go
Wah, a 4 ran out after I didn't make a ball on the break
Wah, someone marked the pocket with a CC

Ok, this is frigging hysterical.
LOL!

Not an issue of being bothered at all with it, it's that there are threads which most will agree are just plain whining. What if everyone started a thread about missing a ball, or losing a game, etc.

What about the recent thread about a guy who sandbags getting mad at someone else for sandbagging in APA.

It's APA APA APA the majority of this community is not made up of APA players, people like to read about pool stories, tips, scores, tournaments, etc. not that oh no I'm so mad at the APA I played a team of 6's tonight. We can't all whine about every little thing in pool life.

If all of these APA threads keep up, when you log in you would have to go 2-3 pages deep to find other type posts, same way the NP forum is getting with a certain poster and his cut and paste ways.

Keep the pool forum about pool, crying about sandbagging is not really talking about pool, it's just crying and oh there happens to be a pool game going on.

Steve, everyone wants to be different and choose their content and not be troubled by things they aren't interested in. Perhaps it's a sign of how the "sense of community" is changing.

Just a thought.

I am not a fan of more subforums. As it is I have to go to 3 that interest me when I get on here.

I think that if people would just create a running/ongoing thread regarding certain topics that it would be better than a sticky. I.E. have a July APA thread. Anyone can post in that thread their experiences and non-apa people can just choose not to read that thread. I have seen this in poker and softball forums and it seems to work. You get regular posters within certain topics.

As for me, sometimes I read em, sometimes I dont.

Why does it always have to be "whining"? Maybe some people are just frustrated and need to vent a little.

What are you doing in this post? "Whining"???

Wouldn't that mean that there is more APA people posting on this site than you figured? If so, then why not look at the popularity of the typical APA thread (replies/views) and determine if posting APA threads is necessary. It certainly seems so, imo.

Don't open the thread if it has APA in the title (which obviously, you do). You are adding value to the very thread you condem by viewing it.

Let's just talk about the things YOU want to talk about. That's gonna make for a great Main Forum .

Have to share!!!

Well, this thread had me thinking, and I found this.

Just had to share.

There are 8 people in the video - wonder if they play APA as a team.

BINGO!!!!! If nobody responded to them, they would quickly move off the front pages!

The fact that there are so many of them, and they keep moving back up tells me someone must have some interest in them!

Just start threads without the letters "APA" in the title and not many people will want them in a sticky or sub forum. ;)

Or, don't say what league it is in the post!

ahhh.....

I have even been drug to the APA :sorry:
However I Alex Ramirez do solemly swear to keep any posts about the

Money hoarding
Sand Bagging
and random other crap I dont like about it to a minnimum:wink:

I agree all APA posts should go somewhere else I have been suprised by its recent popularity...

If you were to give APA their own section or god-forgive a sticky you would also need to give Bcapl, VNEA & TAP their own section.
IMO things are fine just the way they are. If it aint broke quit trying to fix it.
If you don't want to see a thread then don't read it.
Tune it off just like you would a TV program which does not interest you.

Why it is popular.

A few have already mentioned this, but I thought WHY Not say it again.

May and June are the official months of the APA regionals to win a Vegas trip. Therefore, everybody is playing regional tourneys right now. And when you get the best of the APA together in a region, you are also bound to get the bad apples to rear their ugly head. Stupid rule calls and technicalities used to "WIN" a game by morons which they could not win on SKILL. Rules are rules, but when even the outcome is not even close to the TRUE RULE, I could understand people being upset.
I have my regional this weekend, and I am looking forward to watching the few morons and putting them in their place before they can speak!!!!

It is that time of the year.

Ah how soon we forget; did I make the correct strategy decision.

And how can we use calculus to solve skill level questions?
