Did you seek medical attention? My ex woke up one day and couldn't stand up. Took her to the hospital. Years later, she still has an attack every now and then. Don't shrug it off. Then again, it could be nothing. Don't take a chance.

ill join you, i am in the worst slump I have been in, in years. I'm playing much worse than I spell, I had a time 2 years ago I couldnt play cause my back hurt to much-thats a reason. I have no reason to be playing so poorly-it sure sucks, but it feels good to know I'm not the only one, sorry Al I had to say it-misery loves company.
Yes, I was shooting pool Friday, got dizzy, started sweating profusely and vomited. Went to the doctor and he gave me a prescription for valium. I've heard too many bad things about valium, I don't intend to take it unless it gets really bad.
I jogged 4 miles today, went to the gym and lifted, and shot some pool but I'm still a little dizzy at times. It has been a week since my first dizzy spell. I'm hoping it will fix itself in time. I'm scheduled for some tests in two weeks.
Do you remember what medication they put your wife on?
You didn't say how old you were, or anything about your family hisory, but if I were to experience spontaneous diaphoresis (sweating), I might want to see a cardiologist.
Don't remember but I speak with her almost every day now. I'll be sure to ask her. Her Vertigo used to put her flat on her back for days. Not quite as bad now but she still has to stop what she's doing and rest for a few hours.
Gotta agree with Tramp. Did your MD do a EKG? Check your blood pressure? Very unusual symptoms to just prescribe Valium. It might calm you but it's the vomiting and sweating we're concerned with. Don't take it lightly. If you start having unexplained left arm or upper back pain, get to a med facility promptly!

He did it all, blood work etc. and it all seemed normal. From what I've read it sounds like vertigo and probably something to do with my inner ear.
Vertigo is a sensation of spinning while stationary. [5] It is commonly associated with vomiting or nausea, unsteadiness, and excessive perspiration. [6] Many people (80%)[citation needed] experience recurrent episodes that impair their quality of life.[2]
I'm scheduled for some kind of a test in two weeks with a specialist. I hope it is gone by then so I don't have to go. Those tests can get expensive.

The proper medicine for vertigo is meclizine. I have taken it 4 times a day since an auto accident in 1993 after which they removed my left ear and rebuilt my ruptured eardrum (left tympanoplasty)...they put the ear back on so my cap wouldn't fall down over my eyes...I still get positional vertigo if I lean over, etc.
If you had never sufferred from vertigo before, you need to find the cause. A stroke is one real bad possibility, ear wax build-up on the eardrum is a simple one.
Vertigo is no fun. I know all about the world spinning and vomiting. I had to give up riding my Harley because of it.

I had two episodes of Vertigo in my life and I can tell you it is something else altogether. I awoke out of a sound sleep and my brain felt like it was spinning inside my head at about 1250 rpm! I attempted to stand up and fell over and vomited, after several minutes I was able to drag myself back into bed were my brain continued its spinning rampage. When I closed my eyes and laid perfectly still it seemed to get slightly better and after several hours I somehow got up and drove to my doctor. Luckily his office was about one mile from my house, they got me on some antinausea meds and my wife showed up and we went home. A day or so later the spinning subsided, I had a second bout a couple weeks later that was not as severe as the first. According to my doctor they do not know exactly what causes it but are all in agreement that it is associated with the inner ear. I'll say this Vertigo is no joke, when I awoke that first morning I was sure I was about to die. It is an out of this world experience and during a serious episode it is totally debilitating I could not believe how helpless I felt.

Absolutely. If it's one thing the cue sports/games needs is class. We've been a classless society for far too long. Stand up and show some class, and don't diaphorese the small stuff.
