I ordered a R360 Cuetec the other day and it comes with a Explorer 11 layer tip on it. Anyone ever play with one? Thank you. Johnnyt

I think that it's a new tech screw-on tip. Easier to change tips when a chunk falls out of it during a match.

that must be what was on my R360 when i got it. it played pretty good, but after a while i put a sniper on it. which is similar. i still got a minilathe and sniper tips from when i had a room ! btw R360 hits really good. even marty has recently said that in the chatrooms.

Thanks Z. Johnnyt

i have played with SVB's R-360's, he tried a few different ones until he settled on one, I played with a couple of them and I liked them all!!!! The manufactored cues of today are sure alot better than the first few years about 15 years ago-those cues sucked. Nowdays there are some great manufactored cues. I love the heritage of pool and will awalys stick to the hand made custom cues(even if I dont play as well with them) but thats cause I'm old school and appericate the work the cuemakers do and I like to support them. I have bought cues just to support cue makers. I wouldnt do that with manufactored stuff.

So after all that my point is I think you'll be happy, very happy. I played with a tip that was a prototype that isnt ever suppost to mushroom-it was a year old and had been used, not a bit of mushroom-thats a manufactored tip I'd buy, I hope they are launched soon.

i definitely agree with this, i play with an r360 now and it hits great. the explorer tip plays good, but i'll be switching to a milk dud for my next tip

i think the r360 is a really good shaft as well (along with the thunderbolt, the rest of cuetec's shafts are crap). but i did not like the explorer tip that was on mine. it was very hard, glazed over very easily, and made a very funny tink sound when it hit with it. i think they should have just gone with an everest like they do on their other shafts.
