I'll take 2 games cus Busty has the best break, the experience and the homefield advantage. That Pinoy crowd can get pretty nasty ESPECIALLY against the taiwanees.
It have started guys
Busti is middle-eastern? Since when?![]()
Nothing would make me happier than to see Bustie score the big one. He's come so close many times. I am a patriotic American and usually root for the hometeam. In pool, though, it's sometimes like a close-knit family. I consider Francisco Bustamante a member of my pool family.
Here's a picture I took of a smiling Bustie the same day he won a $25,000-added Joss/Turning Stone Casino event. Right before the finals, he was stuffing his beak with me and mine at the all-you-can-eat buffet, chomping down on prime rib and Alaskan crab legs. He was as calm as a cucumber. I was happy that he won that day!
The only thing I can say is may the BEST man win.![]()
Kuo got it!
The upside is that the next World Champion will be someone who has been second once before - gotten so close and never got there!
Busty had to play last time with a heavy heart as his daughter has passed during the event. Strickland beat him.
Kuo - took the worst bad beat of any final in recent memory as he sat down sitting at 17:12 in a race to 18 and the wonderkid puts a five pack on him to win.
So now, these two will get to battle it out to end the bridesmaid syndrome at the WPC!
Go Busty!
Good luck to Django.
He wants it badly. Maybe a win here gets him to the hall of fame.
You are a multi-talented kind of guy!
I want Bustie to win this. Oh, man, if there's anyone who is deserving, it is Francisco Bustamante.
He just has to win. He's a good tournament soldier. I think he's got what it takes to accomplish this. Come on, Bustie!
I dont know if i'd call that a bad beat. He played a bad safe and never got a rail or another shot. What CC Wu did was perhaps unlikely but truly remarkable given the circumstances. I guess it depends on your definition of bad beat. By Helmuth's definition, yes-by mine no.
R u not asking me right?bet or no bet?
I could not agree more. He is the nicest guy, one of the most other-worldly players, and based on all the past near misses and heartbreak stories, I am really pulling for Bustamante!
