check out their website...theres a ton of info including a slow-mo vid that shows the tips elasticity. I had no idea they moved this much! Look, I bout a varney with a 314-2 shaft on here a while back, always been an ld shaft kinda guy. That aside, it had a hard kamui black on it. Prior to this, I always thought I was a med tip kinda guy

turns out, the harder the tip, the less unwanted english, the less unwanted throw, the better I could pocket balls. Funny thing is, I use english to pocket balls more often than not. With this being said, one would think, hard tip + lots of english= lots of miscueing. NOT WITH THESE! I've been an advocate of Kamui Black tips ever since, whether its a SS,S,M,or H I like them a lot! I wore out mine after about 6 months of non-stop, everyday play and next to NO MAINTENANCE! I've had 1 moori med, I loved on a meucci cue I bought years ago, ever since, moori's seem to glaze over, miscue like crazy and Mushroom too damn much. If you can get your hands on the old ones, the moori's are right there. But as far as getting used to something thats available now, and will continue to be for a while to come, the kamui blacks are the best tip out there, bar none! They are a little harder than the browns, which I like. They holed there shape on the radius, don't mushroom at all! EVER! Machine great, play great! And are worth their weight in gold. The most important part of the playability of a cue is the tip! If you're sitting on the fence, buy a soft (which is a hair under the hardness of a triangle) and a med (a hair harder than a triangle), give them a try and I'm pretty sure you won't ever want to use another tip again. I had a hard on my cue and shot with it for 6 mos, replaced it with a hand full of different triangles, moori meds, stingrays, lepros, milk duds, karomi's etc... and couldn't hit a ball with confidence for during the following 2 months after i took my worn out kamui off! It might just be in my head, and maybe I didn't give the other tips long enough to get used to, but either you like it, or you don't. I won't put anything else on my cues ever again as long as I can help it! Hop this helps, if not, check their website, pretty convincing...
