"Sad News from Florida"

Hey everyone; I'm sad to report that Walt Harris, author of, "The Billiards Atlas" Vol. 1-4, former fellow Chicagoian and Billiard player who is my neighbor in Cocoa Beach, FL. suffered a massive stroke Saturday morning. He was rushed to the hospital where they preformed emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding in his brain. He is now in a drug induced coma to stabilize his condition.

Let's all bend a knee for Walt, JoAnn, and his family for a full recovery.

I am very sorry to hear that. I enjoyed Walt's books and commentary. God bless Walt and his family.

Terrible to hear - I've treasured some autographed Billiards Atlases for years and hate to hear what's happened.
 
Legend, he and Byrne are tied for the two men who did the most for billiards in the U.S. in the last 50 years.
 
Sad news. Great contributor to a great sport. I wish him the best. My thoughts are with his family.
