That ringwork is actually inlaid? Wow!
Awesome examples. Thanks Don.Here are a couple of examples from Lucky's site of Dave Barenbrugge's incredible ring work.

Jamie, I don't think everything is inlaid. You can buy patterned wire and use that. I believe what he is saying is that the wire itself is set into Ivory.
I am saying it is inlaid. It is "set" into a pocket cut into the Ivory ring, hence inlaid. I won't go over the process used, but it is close to using something like conap to fill the voids. That makes it inlaid in my book. Hope that clears it up for you two. The main thing is it is absolutely gorgeous, and to do it right and have it come out that way takes knowledge that not too many have.
Which is pretty much exactly what I just said, minus the filler part. I believe Jamie was under the impression that there were 100's of individual pieces of silver inlaid into the ring one at a time.

An inlay is an inlay 1 or 100, and regardless of that fact it doesn't make it any less atractive. You tried to say it was not inlaid, and you were wrong. Next time don't give the impression you can just go out and buy the bracelet do the same, you can't.
Please point out in my original post where I said the ring wasn't inlaid? You can't, because it was never said. I said the silver was set into the ivory (set=inlaid).
Please point out where I said it was unattractive? Once again, you're putting words and thoughts into my mouth. I did not give an indication one way or the other whether I thought the ring looked good. I do not make comments, good or bad, about any cue makers cues on the forums.
I also don't recall ever saying that I could go out and buy the silver and do the same thing. Please point that statement out to me as well.
Jamie clearly thought the entire ring was inlaid in individual pieces. I was simply pointing out that I didn't believe that was the case.
