I have read recently numerous articles about the developments Mezz have made with their equipment.

So i was wondering as i have never played with one, but have played with many a Predator, Can they compete?

1st question, which plays better?

2nd question, Which is the better quality product?

Just Curious?
 
Mezz shafts definitely plays better and more consistent in terms of deflection. Mezz shafts are more consistent from shaft to shaft. Some 314 shafts have variable amounts of deflection. Mezz shafts are likewise more durable and more warp resistant due to the carbon fiber insert I suppose. There is fear that the ferrule of 314 is going to break anytime.(happened to me and a lot of my friends). talking about the butt. It is a no contest. Mezz wins. combine the Mezz shaft with a Schon and you have a real and serious player!

Mezz has different shafts such as WD700, ProII etc. Pick the one that suits your play best.
 
Anybody knows what Mezz shaft and tip Mica Immonen use? Just curious since i have 3 videos of Mastering Pool and lot of shots he made in the videos are amazing.

i have played with a pred shaft for 8 years or so ]

no problems with my ferrule ever.
never played with a mezz hit a few balls thats all.
i think they are both good.
 
no mezz break cues exploding on anyone out there? where's that predator BK video where the shaft explodes when the guy breaks with it? that's the only example i need to keep me leery of predator products
 
Mezz all the way. If I didn't build cues, i'd be playing with a Mezz. Seriously. I can't say enough good about them. Light years ahead of any other production outfit.

Mika has such a pure stroke that I bet he could do the same crap with most any cue out there.

But, MEZZ cues are outstanding!! One of the best playing cues I have every had the pleasure to own.
 
I went to a cue & table seller in Columbia, Missouri a while back. They had Mezz cues in stock. I tried all 8 of them. I was itching to buy a mezz cue. The Mezz cues all had badly warped shafts. WTF... An 80.00 Players Cue was straighter than this $hit. The Mezz shafts rolled up & down on the table & the rail like they were floating in the ocean!! No Mezz for me!!

that's very odd and it might not be mezz's fault. in my experience mezz uses very high quality shaft wood and their cues are some of the straightest i've seen. if this guy's mezz's were all warped, did you not consider it might be his fault? if you leave your stock to roast in the trunk of the car on a hot sunny day or something like that, it's gonna warp no matter who made it.
