failed straight pool runs...

I saw propoolplayer2093 post in another thread that he wanted some failed 14.1 videos to evaluate.

post up some failed straight pool runs. it's good to show mistakes every now and again


I don't normally play straight pool, when I'm practicing I play equal offense where break the balls wide open, take bih and stop your inning after 20 balls. I don't usually get to 20 but when I do I always stop. Today while I was messing around I decided to continue a couple runs and botched both before I got to the third rack.

I apologize for the goofy camera angle, I'm still working on getting the camera set up right.

If failed runs were worth money I'd be a millionaire.

looks pretty strong imo. i wouldn't want to draw you in a tournament!!!!!

your fundamentals looks good. your stroke looks strong and fluid. you have a nice pause before you pull the trigger on most shots. the only weakness is saw was in your patterns. take that for what it's worth though because i haven't run over 30 balls in like a year

Work on a better camera angle and start making more videos.
 
Thanks for the replies. My mistake in the first video was dogging the key ball. In the second video I messed up several things but mainly failed to break open the cluster when I had a chance. The good part about equal offense is balls tend to spread out nicely. The bad thing is you have limited options for break balls so you have to be a little creative.

I might try to play some 14.1 sometime and if I get to 50 or so I'll post in in the 14.1 forum. At my age progress is slow.

As for the camera angle, I can do a little better but due to limited space it would be hard to get a straight on view of the table.
