most underrated players

Well, in reading this post makes me think of an entirely different kind of answer for the question at hand.

I would say EVERYONE !

Let me add another twist to this view: everyone thinks they are the most underrated player! This is because we're all a bit delusional about our own skills and overrate them by a mile. That's why you see amateurs throwing tantrums over missing balls that they are not even a favorite to make.

(This bias is not just in pool billiards, it shows up everywhere. Except of course for those who are depressed etc.)

all the female pro players....."MOST" of the posters on here would want no part of playing them for the money!

I would say there is a local (to me) player that is underrated, but it seems everyone that comes thru town has him clocked, and asks for a spot.....so, I guess (by watching some of those asking for a spot) that truly he may be overrated (for as little as he plays) :p

btw, I hate naming names in these kinda threads

Edwin Montal for sure. I've seen him play world class speed pretty consistently, yet he keeps so under the radar he is never mentioned as a favorite.

Ike Runnels. Great player to watch, although you don't hear much about him.

Funny, Edwin Montal beats Drago, Souquet, and Busty-(9-1) in the 10 ball in vegas and everyone on the TAR chat was like "who is this guy?".

Disrespectful putting these 2 in the same post! Easy would rip out roys spine if they played!

No way.

Easy might try to steal Roy's skirt but that's about as much violence as you would see from the two of them.

Exactly, I remember watching that and wondering what it takes for him to strike some fear in others and to get some recognition. But in this business I don't think he's complaining, he does well for himself when traveling and gambling.
