This is an ultra rare cue, ebony/ebony Southwest, with double red veneers. This cue is 17 7/8oz, and has a thin butt sleeve ($200 option from southwest). Both shafts weight 3.5oz with melamine ferrules, I just got both ferrules and tips changed by Southwest. Joint Protectors Included. One shaft is 12.5mm, the other is 12.3mm. Both shafts have Kamui Black Medium Tips. The smooth buffalo wrap was put on by Pete Tascarella. I just had both shafts professionally cleaned also. The cue is very straight. This is probably the best hitting southwest I’ve tried, so far. It was my daily player. Pin # 373-03. I'm not really eager to let the cue go. SOLD PENDING PAYMENT

I owned this cue a couple of years ago and it is a beauty. I shipped it to Asia about 2-3 years ago.

I remember this cue. It was for sale at cueaddicts' booth at 2004 Valley Forge SBE show. It was brand new at that time and the weight is a bit less than 19 oz.
 
Chady, I think that was 2006. I remember, coming runner-up in a tournament, and thinking to myself I need a new cue, and I really loved this cue. I thought about it for a month before I finally pulled the trigger.

well compared to when you see RARE Meucci cue on ebay....and there are probably thousands upon thousands of that model....i'd say this style southwest could be called ultra rare

You mean to tell me that all of the ultra rare Moochies that I just invested in through e-bay are not rare? :eek:

Ultra Rare to me means one of a kind - never duplicated (not Dale Perry 1 of 1). It seems that this one must have a sister.
Just like you said - " this style southwest" - so it is a "style" that could be duplicated, and seems to have been duplicated at least once. The weight is more what I think makes it rare.

Still a VERY VERY nice cue, and I wish the OP much luck on a sale.

This is an awesome cue. This is only the second ebony Southwest that I have seen come up for sale in my short time here on AZ.

Thanks guys for the interest. I personally believe this is a rare cue. It's hard to find an ebony on ebony southwest, especially with red veneers. Most of the ebony cues are usually very heavy, but this is cue is slightly under 18oz. Also it has a slim-butt which is a $200 feature that southwest charges for and its not found on many of their cues.
