New Powder Blue Simonis 860

I'll have my new cloth installed on my Gold Crown IV starting in a couple of hours. my mechanic just left the Indy area a few minutes ago. i'll try and get some pictures of the process. would be interested to see if any posters and/or mechanics on here have any comments.

His name is Steve Durrell. He comes highly recommend by Orner Billiards and Jeanette. Of course George and Jeanette have moved to Florida now. Anyway, its my understanding Steve is originally from California? I'll ask him when he gets here. I think he told me once he had a job offer he couldnt refuse, thats what brought him to Indiana.

Save some of the old cloth so you can continue to practice jumps and masse. I did and am glad I remembered.

I, also, purchased the powder blue 860. It should be installed before Christmas. imo - it will look terrific on our tables.

All done, looks suh-weet! sure is slick, but it looks like the bad rolls are still there.

i'll see if i cant get a few pics posted soon. not a big deal, i am sure everybody's seen pics like this before.

Simonis Powder Blue is definitely my favorite color cloth.

New Simonis 860 cloth

Remember that the nap on brand new cloth still stands up a little and even the edge of a a brush swipe can divert a slow rolling ball slightly! I usually brush it all in one direction until it is broken in. ENJOY !

All done, looks suh-weet! sure is slick, but it looks like the bad rolls are still there.

I started to post that there was no Powder Blue on the Simonis site. The Powder Blue looks so grey I didn't think there was a powder blue on the Simonis site.

True on woolen cloth but 860 has no nap.

I just looked at the Simonis website and it looks like they are modeling their cloth on a Diamond Smart table, though they do not officially brand it as such. Do Simonis and Diamond have a relationship?

I know there is Royal Blue, which I had on my table and is WAY too dark blue.

There is also Electric Blue and then Tournament blue.
