I was going about my business yesterday when I started to receive a bunch of text messages from Jim with attached pics of the cue he's making from his logo contest. Just after the contest, Jim asked me what cue I wanted (basically, leaving it open for ANYTHING I wanted).
I told him that I wanted an ebony cue with an amboyna burl (or similar burl) handle. I prefer simple cues that look classy and chic, not over-elaborate and gaudy ones. I also didn't want to have Jim make something super complicated since I felt I didn't deserve it (after all, all I did was make a logo).
Jim was very thorough asking me questions I never really thought of -- making sure every aspect of the cue met my specs. He also asked about the subtle things such as ring work, etc. I'm very inexperienced with picking that kind of stuff, so I told him to pick what he thought was "the move."
I can tell Jim REALLY loves what he does since he was taking tremendous pride in every aspect of this process. Here are the pics he sent me yesterday. I must say, I'm pretty exciting on what's to come! I'll post more pics as I receive them.
