This cue was given to Jesse J (RunoutJJ on AZ) a few years ago. He used to be a regular at my mothers house playing pool. I was already gone by the time he was hanging out there, but whenever I was home, he'd come over and I'd kick his ass for a few hours.

He called me a while ago and asked if I could make him another shaft or fix the one he messed up. I told him to send me the whole cue and I'd replace the rings while I was at it. This was the first cue I had put the barbell rings in and it was done before I had CNC. They actually came out better than some of the CNC'd ones I did later on. I threw some inlays in for him too.

I still had the other half of the lizard skin I had used for the wrap originally, so I used that.

The first photo is the cue before the modifications.

"Threw" the inlays in, did ya...? I'd guess there was fair bit of work involved in this little re-do all the way around.
Turned out very nicely. Those veneer colors work really well w/ the BZRW.
 
I LOVE Brazilian Rosewood...
