Getting straight to the point..

What is the best Jump Cue for under $100 ? I'm not big on jumping (I'd much rather kick out or something) but there are increasing times where the ability to do a ball jump would help.

I've done searches and the:

- Lucasi Hybrid LHAH5 Air Hog Jump Cue

- Lucasi L2000JC Jump Cue

- Predator POISON VX Jump Cue

- Eric "The Preacher" Yow - Jump Cue

Come up often as far as the price but I haven't found many reviews on any of them.

With that being said, which is the best or is there another I should look at?

i use a Bunjee Jump Cue...i think it jumps fairly easily and was under $100. i'm happy with it

Adam had a jump cue that I really liked. I think it was right around $100.

I really like the Lomax Jump cue but I think it's over $100, the Geno Ferrari and the Stealth jump really well too and I think they are both under $100.

spend a few more bux.....

......and get a predator air. makes jumping as easy as pie. or spend some more and get a great jump break cue like the tiger ice breaker and solve two problems with one cue.

They don't make Predator Air's anymore and it was like hell trying to find a used one, but I did it.

Do you have any reviews of your cue? I'm sure you use it but has anyone else had success using it?

From the picture you have the Black looks like the handle is shorter than the Green so are they both still 40" ?

What are the differences between the Frog Hyde and Regular Leather tips?

-Thanks for the post

i have a poison jump cue.....the only jump cue ive used better is a lomax one

Best Jump Cue under $100

I was playing an original "Stinger" J/B cue, then OB came out with THE BEST OB Break cue I now play. I started playing an inexpensive Cuetec black jump cue with a hard leather tip on it ($79.95 retail price). This jump cue is effortless. The shaft weighs nearly 6 oz., has an over sized ferrule/tip and the butt (probably hollow) weighs less than 4 oz.. That makes it VERY tip heavy and VERY easy to get the cue ball up for jumps! I.M.O.

PS: Allison Fisher (and I think Karen Corr) both use one!

Thanks for the insight but is there anyone who has played with a variety of jump cues and could give a comparable comparison?

-Thanks

I have used a bungee and pred air before picking up my lomax. For the price a bungee is good deal and jumps no problem. I liked my predator as well and it allowed me make close jumps that I couldnt make before. But I always felt it was too light. Then I picked up a lomax and was amazed at the cue ball control that I could get. Stop shots and draws are so much easier to do so it opens up a lot more options instead of just trying to make the object ball.
Just my two cents.

Buy a J&J J/B and throw the break handle away. Keep the jump handle & you're set!

Trust me...everyone that has used my cheap a$$ J&J comments about how it sails the CB.

i'm one of those guys! the J&J is hands down the best cue on the market dollar for dollar. they break great and jump crazy easy!

I have a J&J, I'm just not a real fan of it when it comes to close jumps. I do agree it is one of the best J/B for the money.

Has anyone played with both the Lucasi Hybrid Air Hog and Predator POISON VX Jump Cues? I've been hearing good things about each and just want an opinion from someone who has used both. Or one in comparison with another jump cue you have used.

Thanks for the reminder, Rusty. I forgot that you can get the J&J much cheaper in jumper form only.
