A post that may have been lost in the Wade Crane thread:

To all of Wade Crane's fans and friends in lieu of flowers please send donations to help cover last expenses as he had no insurance. Since the funeral home take credit cards, you can call and make your contribution over the phone. I may be wrong, but credit card transactions over the phone used to have more protection that paypal or through websites.

I do not know if Paypal is possible as this is through a funeral home. I like the other suggestion, just call them and give them your credit card number. That way there is no fee deducted.
 
I called to make a donation via credit card but they are requesting that we wait until at least the first of the week. They are trying to get everything worked out with the family and it is going a little slower than they would like. The funeral home seemed cooperative and hopefully it will be resolved soon.


They are very thankful for any help that can be given as it is a very stressful time for the family both emotionally and finacially but they do not want to accept any monies until everything is finalized.

Okay for everyone wondering about how to leave money for Wade Crane's expenses. Here it is. Since the body has not been released from UT yet we can't leave the money at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home. So, my mom, Kay Nuchols, is Wade's sister and her name was left in his last will and testament for the arrangements, so an account has been set up in her for her to deposit the money and use it for his expenses. So write checks or money orders to Kay Nuchols and PLEASE write on the check for Wade Crane's memorial or last expenses and send to P.O. Box 1539, Robbinsville, NC 28771. This was the most simple way to get everything done. I am sorry that it has taken so long to get this set up. Thanks to everyone.

Thanks so much for the update, and I am so sorry for your loss.

Should we wait until UT Hospital in Tennessee gives the okay for the funeral home in Robbinsville to move forward before we send monies?

We are definitely going to send a check, and I know a couple others on this forum also expressed a desire to send monies to help with the expenses as well. I will be happy to send my check now to your mom to hold onto, if this is preferred.
 
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting help with Wade's last expenses. The funeral home has requested a family member take over, since the body has not been released to the funeral home.
Kay Nuchols, is Wade's sister she will be the person handling the arrangements, an account has been set up in her name for her to deposit the money and use it for his expenses.
Please write checks or money orders to
Kay Nuchols and PLEASE on the reference line on the check for write : Wade Crane's memorial or last expenses.
Send to P.O. Box 1539, Robbinsville, NC 28771.

Was trying to help those find solutions to contribute via easy means and sometimes online is easier for some.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Please pass on our condolences to your Mom and the rest of your family.

I will be sending a check this week so thank you for the info so we can help.

We mailed our check to Kay Nuchols this past Friday. :)

One thing I had not thought of, though, is that an out-of-state check may take 5 business days to clear, which is kind of a bummer when funds are needed quickly. I wish I had thought of that before I sent it, as I probably would have sent a money order or a bank check to ensure that it cleared quicker than an out-of-state personal check.

I did receive word from an anonymous donor who is sending a bank check today.
 
I was going to give money over the phone to the funeral home, but the people I need to talk to at the Funeral Home are not there until Monday. I will send Wade's sister a check, as she stated in an above post in this thread we can do.

In the meantime, I thought I would mention that there is still a balance of $1,200 for the funeral for Wade. :(

To all of Wade's pool family (at the Derby City One Pocket Hall of Fame Dinner) thanks again for awesome gesture of opening your hearts and reaching into your pockets once "AGAIN". This was greatly appreciated and will go towards the expense of his monument. Without all you pool buddies this would not be possible. Wade surely has a big smile on his face right now. Much love and appreciation from his family.
