I'd be willing to open my home table and bar to any Colorado AZers who would be interested. Table time and bar tabs on the house. We could make it a small tourney with a nominal entry fee. All negotiable, of course.

Paul thats a cool offer I think it would take a bit of planing but if it came together it could be fun. Jay H. has his little events now and then and its great to read about them. My problem is I live about 100 miles from Golden so it is more difficult to make happen....but not impossible.
I think thats a wonderful idea. If we could get a group of like minded folks together this could turn out to be a wonderful time.
Lets chat further about this and possibly make it happen.

Sounds fun to me. Still debating on wether or not I brave the weather to make it down for the tournament today. Thinking one of two things.........................the weather will thin out the field, so the chances increase but with a poor payout. Or...................only the better players show up so we end up with a tournament with 8-10 of Denvers best and you gotta beat them all for a pocket change pot! Wish there was a Broncos game to help me make up my mind.

You beat me to it! When I saw you had posted I was going to ask if my Lucasi would be allowed. Oh well I will make do with the Pechauer.
The weather is getting worse as we speak.
This looks like a bad one.
Maybe your jobsite will be closed and you can play pool all week.
Tell them you got stranded, snowbound in Telluride.
I don't think it will affect the turnout with all of the diehard poolplayers here in Denver.
Let see if 12squared or pwmike come down from Ft. Collins.
Pechauer approved, only because it's signed.
I found some shafts that may fit.
Don't know if their straight or not, but i'll bring a couple with me.

I braved cold and ice to get to Hanks yesterday only to find out that only 4 had signed up to play in the tournament. They ended up not having one. Next week I guess? Do they do a Thursday night tournament too?

paul, this sounds like a whole lotta fun. Just so happens my current jobsite is down at the end of wadsworth off of 470, so I will be driving through Golden Every day. I would love to meet up and shoot a few, and who knows, maybe even talk fishing.... My two most time consuming hobbies.....
let me know if it becomes a reality, I would love to be in on it... I would even voluntarily leave all lucasi cues at home.... I have no problem looking for an excuse to bust out the blackcreek or sugartree....

If you bring a Blackcreek or a Sugartree Ted will be looking to trade you out of them. If you bring a Lucasi he might not even speak to you.
Maybe we should both bring our Lucasi cues just to bug Ted.
I looked outside then I looked at my warm couch and LCD TV with football on and I stayed home.
So I am at my pool hall today practicing and the back door opens up and they take out 3 8footers and bring in 3 bar box tables. The owner was stand near my table and I said whats up and he said all the APA leagues have been calling him looking to play. My feeling is ya all better get as much play on a 9footer as possible because they might be gone in 5 years.
